Can u plz tell me little more about this temple? I visited Guwahati two days back but was embarrased to hear this female body part being worshipped, so did not not visit this temple. I was something so new and strange to me. I am a woman.

@@thetree7694 off course, This is a Big temple as you know. It was built more then 1000 years ago. Exact date is not known yet. Mythology, it was believe that lord Shiva's Wife body was cut into 17 parts by Lord Vishnu. And all the 17 parts was fallen in different locations. So this part was fallen on this site, thus Kamakhya Temple was built.
