Mannnnnnnn... I so needed to hear this!!!! I won't list the current gear setup I have as to not to seem like I'm bragging. But I have much of the gear and software that many mid to upper level studios have in a spare bedroom I retrofitted for my studio. But I promise you I've used ALL of these EXCUSES as to why I haven't gone further than where I have. Just the other day my Facebook page showed me a photo from an exact year ago where I had a client in my studio and she was recording one of her songs. Now mind you this was dated in December 2016. I was looking at it in December 2017 and already it's January 2018!!! A literal 3-calendar year span and yet that particular simple track was never FINISHED!! Trying not to go too long but God knows how bad I really want to release something before I feel I'm too old to remotely compete in this industry due to what I feel is a very late start in being able to do what I truly love. I'm now 54 but I've loved music since I was a child! Again, I so thank you for this video!!!! I will check the various links you've mentioned when I get home from work today. PLUS I'm on vacation for the next 9-days and there's really NO EXCUSE for me not to take advantage of this time and jumpstart this thing back off and really get it done!!!!! I cannot thank you enough Graham!!!!!👊🏾💯👍🏾🎸🎤

Man, I have never subscribed to a channel faster. I am actually coping with major depression and it kind of makes me lose any willpower I eventually muster to start working on something. It gets really hard and really bad but I somehow try to push through. It's with help of people like you that I can eventually finish something and force myself to become a person that can be proud of their creations, so thank you for giving me hope! And also hope in people, since I am generally a really cynical person but you kind of make me change my stance towards people.

Wow, you hit the nail on the head sir, thank you. I have all the gear I need but have let the busyness of life discourage me from "having the time" to create. Like you, I'm a working man, husband, father, and Worship Leader. When I do take a small bit of time to record an idea I really do feel alive but then give up on bringing any song to completion because it just seems impossible to do with everything else going on in life. But you know what, I can't sit on this gifting of writing and making music because it really feels like a huge part of me is dying by not using it. So yeah, I really have no excuses. I couldn’t agree more with you especially the last one a family man of a beautiful wife and 2 beautiful young daughters. I’ve bought 20 mics ranging from $50 to $400 dollars new audio interface and monitors you recommend (presonus e5 with sub) and many more and still building my studio for almost 3 years ups and downs setback after setback and the dream has been on hold I love this video and everything else I’ve seen.
