Last year's leader, best and most decisive player in the team that won everything. The goal against Madrid when they were down in the semis sealed the deal for me at least. He should have pretty clearly won the ballon d'or. Messi did something legendary, but he hasn't been the best player in the world for a while clearly. Haaland is a legit contender, but I still think KDB was the real engine of the team, and as the gap between big teams and small teams keeps increasing we'll keep seeing more and more players getting what once were insane numbers of goals. Ballon d'or has lost a lot of its meaning for me.

Haaland scored goals. Many more goals than Kevin's goal and assist numbers. Giving him the Ballon D'or would be the same as giving it to Lionel, because it would be discarding Haaland's season and solid numbers. They say that the main reason Haaland scores is De Bruyne, but even this season, without him, he has scored many goals and has accumulated more direct participation in goals than games, just like last season. Of course, I want to see how much this will improve when Kevin returns from injury, as City will go back to indoctrinating as usual.

Before you go about talking on how amazing and great KDB is , can you please stop and reflect on his international contributions. He has zero impact for his country, he only shines when he plays for Man City because Pep has the ability to bring out the absolute best in his players. In my opinion, Modric is miles ahead of him even if modric should retire now.

KDB is a great player, greater than Haaland. He runs the games. It's more difficult to be a playmaker than striker, esp. when all you do is tapins.

One of, if not the most complete attacking midfielders. Out of the world passing and vision (long or short passing), decent pace, crazy longshot power and accuracy (with curve), clinical if he finds himself in front of goal and top tier dribbling. What does he not offer thats needed of him?

No doubt one of my favorite players in the game. My fav KDB seasons are the 100 points season and the 20/21 when they went to the UCL final and they were without a proper striker when the lineup would be stacked (KDB,SILVA,GUNDO,FODEN and RIYAD) him,Silva and Riyad were balling out especially in big games..

Last 10 years he just stays on top! Not gonna compare him with 2 of the legends and rest of midfielders cuz midfield is a vast area... Juts a pity for em who just compare midfielders with each other without knowing their positions and roles. As a CAM kdb is currently the best my fav since 2014 he's just incomparable when it comes to creation...! 💙

I’m definitely NOT a Utd fan, but for me Scholes is way above any other midfielder in the prem history. I’m in my 40’s and have been lucky enough to see Scholes , kdb, lampard, Gerrard etc live many times. But Scholes is easily the best. The other 3 are debatable for their order.

This guy is too good, it’s a bit sad that some of the great passes/crosses that he made have not been converted. You need to have players like Ronny in order to convert such crosses. Kevin in my opinion individually did everything messi did this season better besides dribbling. I still find it really impressive though that messi at 35 past his prime kept up with best season of young mbpappe and haaland and debruyne’s prime. When you think back to 2009-2012 messi was completely unplayable, no one came close to him back then. 2009-2012 Messi was the greatest prime of all time and nobody during that time was even close to his level and nobody has to this date ever reached that level of football. He was like a god in the pitch playing a bunch of mortals, And he we are now, Messi is no where near the god he was back in 2009-2012 but he is still one of if not the best player on the world at 35 still keeping up the young players best seasons. Truly the GOAT.

You can say that as his fan he's best after Messi and rono when we talk about footballing contribution .... He's such a clutch player way ahead of present CAM's. Only Ozil and Muller can be comparable to him when we talk about CAM/SS/RAM... He's most completely unique mid same as kovacic.. cuz he can play as holding mid transitional attacking mid playmaker advanced playmaker general mid and box to box mid such a unique player! Correct me if im wrong but Ive never see messi efficient on the sides of the pitch, he always cuts inside while de bruybe has solution wherever he is on the pitch, goals and assists with both feet, accelerates at the right time always, shooting with various techniques, provides passes like no other, scoring free kicks from distance.
