Ummm I would say how I look is important too. No one was totally in love with my dress, my family is very traditional, but it fit my personality and body perfectly, no one could deny that. I looked and felt great 😊 My dress was Blake by Badgley Mischka.

Perhaps she had. The consultant can tell by how it fit. Even the bride remarked that she had to get intentional with her diet before the wedding and that she couldn't bend over to hug her mom. That's alarming in a dress that has had its last revisions before the wedding.

I sew dresses, it looked and felt tight, even from the way she walked. Just because you can fit in it, doesnt mean it is a good fit.

It was so tight that she couldn't move. She even said she couldn't bend down. She will be so uncomfortable wearing it on her wedding day. I often think that the brides should do a test to see if they can sit down, bend etc.

There was no need to worry the bride at that point (surely a designer knows that zips can be stiff sometimes!), and even if the dress didn't fit, it's not necessary to comment on weight. Sometimes sizing is wrong, and even if the bride did gain weight, there's no need to embarrass them by saying it - they can put two and two together.

The seamstresses will fix that in the fittings. When they get finished that dress will fit her like a glove. It's very rare that any wedding gown truly fits the person buying it without any alterations, especially the closely fitting gowns. It's not uncommon for the sample dress to be too tight in one spot and too loose in another spot. That's why they order the dress so far ahead of the wedding. That leaves time to make sure the gown fits everywhere.
