The title is weird. Substitute the word Protocol for Implementation. It's the same protocol.

"Faster SMB Protocol" is simply wrong as title, as it's the same protocol - otherwise Windows won't speak it or you'd have to install some driver under Windows. Call it maybe ""Faster SMB Protocol (server) implementation by Tuxera"?

also lacking information on the underlying filesystem used on the samba box. i.e. SMB/samba translates a native filesystem into a network message block. the native filesystem used was what? ZFS, XFS, JFS, EXT? GRAID is just creating a block device so it's missing information on the structure between the block and network (smb) layers. This has huge impacts in performance.
