My opinion Ricky's voice was very much overlooked by the officials involved . But Ralph was and is the voice of NE you could never move a car without the motor . He was the front man then and he's the front man now.

OMG, You summed up Ralph to a TEE. I agree 1000%. and yes, he should sing more solo songs. Ralph's energy, ability to connect to the audience, ability to fall in line on the stage, while singing 90% of the songs is just AMAZING!! He is the TOTAL package!!

When they first started, it was Ralph's voice that propelled them. He had the voice that Maurice Starr was looking for and that's why he sang most of the lead vocals. They all knew it. They were jealous. It's all good though. He needed them as much as they needed him. I wish that he was more successful because he has everything needed to be a superstar: Looks, beautiful voice, style, charisma, dance moves, entertainer factor, hard worker, etc. He needed the right songs and the right breaks. I think his best performances are when all six of them are together. He just rises to the occasion and shines like a bright star. He's outstanding and without him, the group would be missing a key component. Love them all, but he is my absolute FAVE! I think what the headline meant, is that when you hear most of the NE songs, it's Ralph's voice that is most recognizable. It doesn't mean that the other members are less important. When those other guys tour without him, they don't make it a habit to sing the songs where Ralph is lead, because they know the songs won't have the same authenticity. Also, before the group became famous, Maurice Starr wanted to sign him and not the others because he saw so much talent in him. Ralph refused and advocated for the whole group. Give him some props. The headline is accurate. Peace and love!
