Trixon dixon he's talking about the autograph session... Sidney knew all the kids names. Most "hockey clinics/schools" are just money grabs by whoever is hosting it. I am a Crosby hater, I hate the guy, but to see how involved he was with the kids, how when asked if he would be there tomorrow he enthusiasticly said "you bet". He was deeply involved with each player, and seemed like he took the time to get to know each kid, which in my experience growing up in hockey camps and teams, etc, is super rare. I'm 32 so I grew up attending hockey camps and clinics in the 90's and unless you were the top 3-5 players there, none of the adults would even ask your name, or talk to you. They would go out of their way to avoid you. Crosby seemed like he didn't alienate kids based on skill level and to be completely honest, I hate Crosby as a player, but as a person he seems like a really good human with good morals and he seems like he treats everyone with respect, regardless of their job, skill level, etc. And that is a SUPER rare quality in today's times where almost every single person in this world judges people based on their job, skill, gender, looks, etc. He even asked his sister what was the proper term for addressing the female hockey players. That shows a high level of respect for young kids, which not many people have today. I hate to say it, but Crosby seems like a really nice person, even though I hate him on the ice.
@gastondeveaux37837 жыл бұрын
I got goosebumps seeing him interacting with the kids. Great young man. Great role model. He could easily be full of himself, but this is a young man who left home at 15? to pursure his dream and still appears to have both feet on the ground. A credit to his family and community. A quick glimpse of his sister seems to show that it runs in the family.

Living in western PA, 90 minutes north of Pittsburgh, you can't help but root for The Pirates, The Steelers, & THE PENS!!! That also means rooting for Sid. Never met him but have seen him on the ice at a couple of games. I'd love to visit Cole Harbour, but I would imagine it can be a bit of a nuisance as other fans travel there to be able to see Sid & get an autograph. I don't think I could take the rejection, so if there's a day or a moment just to say "Hey", in the 'burgh or in Nova Scotia, it'll happen. You're amazing, Sidney Crosby, & will always be "Sid the Kid"!!! Don't ever change & God bless!!!

Sid has been living here in my home town of course first with Mario and his family and now at his own place up in the Heights! I remember after their last Stanley Cup win when Sid came home here , he went to the local grocery store in town , just around the corner from where the banner congratulating the win was hanging and he had his picture taken with some local shoppers and some of the photos were shared in our published - once- a week -little newspaper. Always a class act! We're used to a lot of Steelers that have lived here , going back to the Super Bowl winners of the 70's and one night at my work(this was back in the 80''s) I asked(begged) one of the guys that was there if I could try on his ring and he let me! Most special 2 minutes of my life!

Mr. Sid, like many other fans, I am in awe of your talent, particularly in the face of what you have endured with injuries. That aside, I can only hope that you choose your final year in the NHL carefully and with mindful precision. The icing on the cake for me, would be to see you capture your final playoff battle with an ending that is second to none. I don't care if it's next year or in five years from now, but I wish and hope that it is spectacular. Why? Because you earned it. In my mind, it doesn't matter if your final run at the Stanley Cup ends in a success. What matters to me, is that you leave this NHL war as the greatest hockey warrior of your time. I don't care if the team is defeated in the second round, as long as I can take in your unwavering passion to defeat the opponent. Of course, I imagine that your team will win the final round,, so give it your all A team with a common vision and unbreakable veteran leadership will be the key. Thank you so much for all you have done for this sport, and I look forward to watching you and Malkin do your magic in unity in the final chapter. Get it done, and Cheers to all, Alan
