The man’s life reads like a Greek tragedy. He built himself up from nothing to being one of the most important people in human history, in the end his tragic flaw was that he always wanted more. He had so many chances to stop and leave good enough alone, but he never could. Because of that he went from the emperor of France to man trapped by his enemies to die too young on an island far from his homeland. He went from the ruler of nothing, to the champion of Europe, to the ruler of nothing again. Such and interesting life.

@@Alekssandro-di-Buonaparte He still could have stopped when he was exiled to Elba, it was a nice place. There were points earlier on that if he stopped he would have been fine. But he always kept pushing, and in the end made things worse for himself. He always wanted more.

With men such as you our cause would not have been lost; but the war would have been interminable; it would have been a civil war, and France would only have become unhappier still. I have therefore sacrificed all of our interests to those of la patrie; I shall depart. But you, my friends, continue to serve France. Her happiness was my only thought; it shall continue to be the object of my desires. Do not lament my fate; the only reason I have allowed myself to survive was so that I could further serve our glory. I want to write down the great deeds which we have done together. One must imagine Sisyphus happy. But what about Napoleon? Well, one must imagine Napoleon proud. Yes, he lost everything, and it is true that he ultimately was left on an island far from home, but the fact of the matter is that he did something while he could, he accomplished truly incredible things that eclipse even some of the greatest men in history. Once he was on that island there was nothing to be done, for he had already done all that there was to do, so he could only reminisce, to think, on the past and how high he rose, to ponder what may have happened if he were anyone but himself and made different choices, and to be proud for people shall forever know his name through his deeds. The heights reached in and of themselves is enough to render a man's heart joyous. One must imagine Napoleon rightfully proud.

He actually died undignified, in commoner’s clothes and on a bed. Possibly poisoned too. He would express a lot that death is preferable to his exile. Initially, he had that proudness of achievement but his companions’ writings show that as time went on he felt more and more hopeless. Yet through it he still tried 5 times to escape before his death. So he never gave up despite his initial claim of “I consider my career finished” early into his imprisonment.
@krovavykrasny9 ай бұрын
In his last words, he called to his first wife, Josephine. During their marriage, Napoleon achieved most of his successes: Italy, Egypt, France in his swift coup, Germany and Austria, Prussia and Poland, all under his control. Since 1809, when his marriage with an Austrian princess that never liked him occured, the Empire started to crumble. Historians say that their love was of a platonical kind: they had no kids, though Napoleon recognised her children as his and gave her son Eugene an Italian crown. Despite he was cheating on her during various campaigns and had several offsprings, she always forgave him and there were little conflicts between them both. He saw her last time shortly before his marriage on an Austrian princess that gave him son, Napoleon II - an heir to his legacy. He could conquer Europe, he could regret his campaign in Russia, he could be won twice after Elba resurgence and sent to an empty island 8000 kms far from his fatherland... but he was left alone without a possibility to meet people whom he loved and cared the most. He was left without his son, without country, without beloved ones. This is the biggest tragedy of Napoleon Bonaparte and there was really nothing he could do.

In my mind everything goes wild, I lose myself in your eyes I drown myself in the wave of your loving gaze I only want your soul going wild on my skin A flower, a woman in your heart, Roméo I'm nothing but your name, the tormenting breath Of our bodies in the dark moving slowly And at night I cry tears that stream down my cheeks I only think of you when the days ends, only when My sad demons fall heavily on me into the endless abyss Love me so that the roses wither That our souls sink into deep tears And at night when all is dark, I watch you dance I resonate on kisses all down your chest Lost in the avalanche of my confused heart Who are you? Where are you? Through the cries, by the laughter of your startled shadow I resonate in kisses In my mind everything goes wild, I lose myself in your eyes I drown myself in the vagueness of your loving gaze I only want your soul going wild in my skin A flower, a woman in your heart, Roméo I'm nothing but your name, the tormenting breath Of our bodies in the dark moving slowly And at night when all is dark, I watch you dance

For some reason the poor quality really adds to this song, like the video is already weird enough but hearing it and seeing it through grainy audio and visual recordings makes the upbeat song actually fit with what’s shown.

My brother and sister, I need to inform you that today society is awaiting for new legends, new heroes, corruption still out there behind the building of government, many people still suffer from poverty, new slavery and child labor is rising on horizon and many more toward us. So my brother and sister, it's true that society "try" to prevent legends and heroes in many way, but did that stop us from being that? Go fixing those corruption my brother, Go helping those who in need my sister, Go out there and prove that the man who trying to make history, truly can happened in this age.

My girlfriend, who I knew for 7 years as a friend and got to date for about a year, and had so many future plans with, broke up with me over text after a huge argument. When I asked what I could do to make things right, or if we could talk more about it, she simply said "There is nothing you can do." This song and trend hit incredibly hard.

I am sure we all remember how the meme was very used and alive few months ago and now already forgotten.. Shows the timeline of something being in trend to becoming absolutely forgotten in our modern world Fast fashion isn’t only about clothes, but nearly everything now, everything wears off for society incredibly fast, society keeps looking for more, more, newer, newer Yet, There is Nothing We Can Do…

My parents have recently divorced and I feel like I can remember some of the good times that my parents had but now, some of the things they said make sense. It has really been a wake-up call seeing how fast something can crumble and the terrifying sadness that can be revealed by just remembering when we were all together. Still love you, Mom and Dad! ❤🩹

I can relate, brother. When you realise it isn't something that happened just like that, but has actually went on for a while, and you didn't know any better. That causes sadness, and even a feeling of culpability sometimes, but they must be surpassed ; remember the good times, they'll always be there to comfort you. As the saying goes : don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. Your parents may have a different relationship now, yet I'm sure they love you just like they always did. I'll pray to the Lord for you.
