People from all across the city have gathered at these stairs. The hope that is felt here is tainted with the bitterness of sorrow. The man walks down the steps into the water, with her in his arms. He slowly lets her into the water. She begins to float into the sea with all eyes on her. She was a fire, a being of warmth and light. She extinguished her flame, to light the fires of everyone else. A young girl aged 7 sticks her feet in the water, her wrists scarred from the chains, as are most of the people watching. After she swallows her fear, he screams out, "THERE WILL BE FREEDOM BECAUSE OF YOU! THERE IS FREEDOM BECAUSE OF YOU!"
