I think it would be really nice of the able-bodied home owners who are lucky enough to get Al’s help to at least go out and pick up the trash and junk from the yard before he comes. It would be so helpful and doesn’t cost anything to give some kindness back to Al.

@@runalong I used to do a lot of community volunteering - clean, wash, paint, trim, mow, etc. In some cases of elderly people, former community contributors themselves, I will happily volunteer. But I have seen to many good people get taken advantage of like this. The last straw for me was working our behinds off on a really hot day cleaning up a really bad yard, trash washing windows and painting the exterior. The homeowner (mom) was in the hospital. But her able bodied son sat in the living room smoking dope with his buddy and watched us work. He worked part time at the Metro-Parks. There was nothing mentally or physically wrong with him. He lived with his mom. He had a nice pair of labs living in a filthy dirty dog pen skating on 2 inches of poop and urine. Who does that? Lazy good for nothing losers. Pigs that have no self respect or respect for others. That was it for me. I have stuff to do at home. Called the local humane society and they picked up the dogs. I will help friends, friends of friends and some relatives. But “God helps those who help themselves”

I know some people just have situations that come up in life that makes them not have time to attend to other things that we passer bys notice and think it should be easy to take care of, but we don't really understand what they are going through but i am watching this thinking, if just took 1-2 things a time and threw it in a bin when passing by, it wouldn't be long before that yard looks even better. ❤️Great makeover per norm!!❤️ Seems some homeowners keep their front yards fairly decent, but damyn they hide the back well from the county and that’s probably why she got the warning. With small children who like to explore, that backyard was an accident in the making, especially w/all the critters people let go because they get too big, ie snakes, lizards and having even an above ground pool also brings in the critters that can do more harm, but intrigue young minds. Also agree the owners who contact you for a free yard makeover should pick up any trash or items that could damage your tools. Especially an able bodied woman or man. They shouldn’t expect you to remove or reposition any items,, without asking or even just warning you. Like when you ran over a water pipe hidden by tall grass, quite a few videos ago. But regardless, I love your kindness & generosity given to others by you and AP.❤️

Selfishly we all loved our yards to play in we didn’t have parks and a community swimming pools and the best memories of summer days were in our yards. Maybe not beneficial to the environment most beneficial to passing summer days as a child. I truly am happy anytime a child may gets a chance to play outside in their yard.

Hi Al I think you're a saint. I was not so much a fan of this resident though. She seemed to have a firm grip on the realization that she had a big problem and that problem was going to grow. Typically the municipality gets you in their crosshairs they bring fines, a lien, and foreclosure, given the option. What this gal failed to demonstrate was the acknowledgement that for her a Superman was standing on her front porch. I heard you say she reached out to you for help, but when help arrived, I guess I expected a more enthusiastic reception. 3:19 People are what they are and I'm glad you get joy from helping people. I appreciate that you do nice things for people and don't have a hidden agenda. I also appreciate the way you handle a string trimmer like a Jedi

The other thing I wanted to comment on is he said he scheduled this with her to come out, so she knew he was coming, why didn't this, young, able-bodied person at least pick the stuff up off the lawn so he wouldn't have to stop to do that!?! It's understandable when he just shows up, but this was planned. He's definitely a saint!

Your work ethic and generosity is amazing, and you always seem to have a smile and a good word for everyone. I am disappointed to see that not all your clients seem to be overly grateful with what you do for them. I live in Ireland and I know you would receive so much gratitude here so if you and the John Deere fancy a trip across the pond…😂 I agree with previous comments that it wouldn’t hurt able-bodied clients to help in clearing rubbish/prepare the yard beforehand, especially if they requested you to do the job. As for abandoned properties, where are the neighbours to do a good turn?! One last thing…drinks/snacks!!! Come on Florida! What’s that about; you’re being shown kindness from Al and AP, the least you can do is offer some refreshment! God bless you Al and AP ⭐️ ⭐️keep up the great work…FOR THOSE IN NEED!

Fantastic that you do these mass transformation for people. Here is a thought: maybe I am judging, ok I am, there is so much junk in the yard and a lot of these places look like dumps with trash. This to me isn’t a broken lawn mower it is plain neglect. Anyways, maybe you guys should have these people help. Have them clean up the trash and move things so you can do your transformation and they realize that part of being in a community is for them to take care of their property for their neighbors, neighborhood!!! Maybe I am to harsh but how does that saying go? The saying “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”
@Gordo525
@Gordo525 2 жыл бұрын
Generally these things start off small and then slowly start to build up over time until it becomes unmanagable. Even the thought of doing something simple like "cleaning up the trash" seems utterly pointless when you look at the mess that has been created. Eventually you just start to ignore the problem because it becomes a source of anxiety, then that becomes the new normal for you. The way that Al does it is he fully resets their problem so that they have an opportunity to maintain it themselves or hire someone to do regular maintenance. The massive feeling of relief and support that it provides will usually be enough to encourage the homeowners to maintain their yards. It's likely much more impactful than trying to instill some sense of "neighbourhood" community. The neighbours haven't helped these people with their problem, why should that person care about their neighbours?

Maybe the mom is lazy, but maybe the “husband” that knocked her up and left all of that junk all over the yard ran off with his new girlfriend and left her with all this mess. Maybe she didn’t help because she had to go out to work her second job for the day. You have zero idea what she is going through or how she got there. You could find out though if you got out from behind your key board and offered to help her like Al did. And if it is the case that she is lazy, then maybe you can help motivate her. But since I doubt she is the person who pulled that engine out of a car, I’m going to bet this mess wasn’t her fault.

You do a little at a time and some of that junk she has in the yard can be sold. A friend,family member, or herself can make a simple phone call to a junk dealer etc. Here is the info, I am 67, I am just recovering a year from cancer and surgery, I have a tear in my meniscus with a brace on my knee, my feet are full of spurs and I still keep my yard up. The inside of the house also. I have a house on one side that is in forclosure that had 3ft high grass that I mowed and a neighbor on the other side that had a back yard 2 ft high. I also mowed for them and in a nice way jokes about keeping the yard up for the hood. I understand WORKING two jobs because I was a single mom. I still cooked, cleaned the house inside and out and struggled my whole life. The difference is I CARE. So don’t tell me what I am or am not behind a keyboard. I was stating an opinion. And I am sure there are many who have the same opinions. Work is how you teach character!!!! I used to do the same over here years ago, I was a ambulance driver that specialised with cancer patients, and if they were on their own at home and were to ill to do their gardens, after work I would go and do their gardens for them for free. Something I would like to ask is why do your mowers not collect the grass as they cut ? Over here all our mowers collect the grass and it helps the grass not to rot and to breathe, and just looks more tidy, is it because all the gardens or yards as you call them are so big or is there another reason? Anyway you are doing a great thing for people, and I enjoy watching your film now I'm retired from work. Cheers buddy.

Your kindness knows no boundaries! ❤ Happy to know this Mom knew to ask for help no matter her circumstances. No one knows what shes going through and to pass any judgement isnt fair. An even if she needed the help to avoid the fine then so be it. She may not have the finances to pay a large fine. Whatever the reasons Al was contacted and he agreed to help her out. That is all that really matters. Great job Al and as always your heart is ever expanding with kindness. You do a fantastic job every single time and always shows a great improvement. Keep up the yard improvements and the acts of kindness. I love watching every single video you have out there. Blessings to you and your family ❤🎉🎉🎉

Another save the day Al Bladez. You go above an beyond helping people. Sometimes wonder how people let things get so out of control but with covid and loss of a job it's really understandable. I wish more people helped out.😊🥰😇❤
