Oh, the cervix is part of the uterus so you if you have a hysto, the cervix goes with it. That's the part that they concentrate on during PAP smears (UGH!) btw.

I just started T!!! and well thats it!

I had the hysto - uterus (ugh), fallopian tubes (ugh), and overies (ugh) out. They take them all out at once. Sometimes they do it through the vagina (ugh, ugh, ugh). I opted to have incisional. This surgery takes 8 weeks to recover but I did NOT want the other! The scar is so low that it won't show even with the tiniest bikini (as if!). The good thing is once you get all that out you don't have to worry about "female" issues - i.e. pap smears (UGH!) etc. HOWEVER, if you think you might want your own kids some day, you should at least get your eggs (buck buck burock) frozen. Look up "Noah After Sedation" on KZfaq. Like he says, he didn't tell all the graphic details but tells you what to look up online to learn more about it. I know you would have to stop T for awhile and take some female hormones (UGH!) but it may be worth it to you to have your own biological kids someday.

It's so relaxing to hear this. I have not started to transition and Im still very slowly coming out to people. 2 people know. And my family won't know for some time as I know their opinions on stuff like this. But hearing this just makes me feel a bit comfortable about trying to get a referral for the GIC

I wish I could get a letter like this as well! It would make so much waaay easier. But I guess we don't have those all in one letters in germany xD So I'll just stick to my 7 papers that all say almost the same and are only slightly different.

I've had laparoscopic surgery it's great leaves minimal scarring and you'll love not having to worry about a period (I know I don't miss mine)

I'm 10 months on T today and have a top surgery consultation on April 3rd! I so excited and also scared for top surgery, I've never had a major surgery before but it's gonna be a load off my chest once it's over

this was super helpful, even though i live in the US. also the wording of the letter was awesome and sounded super validating to have all that info. congrats.

I had the laparoscopic hysterectomy at age 26 due to cervical cancer and a friend just had the same surgery due to being on hormones for too long. Please of course take your doctors advice but in the letter where they discussed the risks (I’m saying the risks are real) stay safe and it’s also not small or trivial to not want a period to come back! I lost mine obviously at age 26 and haven’t missed it a day since (I’m 47, lmao)! Best of Luck!

Love your videos!, i live in sweden and ive been wanting to start hormone blockers since i was 13, the only gender clinic for children was full and it didn't exist any other. Since then ive been waiting and waiting. Now im in a queue that ive been for 18 soon 19 months. I am 16 and are so stressed and im going through the wrong puberty and can't do anything but wait. Also quite mad that if i lived somewhere else i could have gotten help earlier. The investigation can take 2 years or more since the queue is raising. And ive heard people waiting another 17 months after getting your diagnosis to get testosterone. So i feel kinda shitty and hopeless! How are you guys?

really random question, i apologize, but can binding cause/worsen (back)acne? I've been having pretty bad bacne for a while now and trying to find the cause(s), and today the idea popped into my brain that perhaps binding is (part of) the cause of it, since it started around the same period i started binding i believe.(im a cup D binding with a sportsbra instead of a binder, so it's not even that tight, but still...)

They're basically just saying they advise you to remove all of your organs that are meant for reproduction. hysterectomy= removal of uterus, sapling-oopeterectomy= removal of fallopian tubes and ovaries. I believe they advise this because youre increasing your risk for cancer in these organs since youre on T. BTW sorry if the use of the terms upsets you, these are medical terms, I wasn't sure how to term it without losing meaning.
