Season 4 was renewed. Love the show so much. You are right though they could have ended it there. Thank god they aren’t. 💙

It’s an expensive show because of the talent involved but Apple has money to burn and it’s their biggest show. It’s coming back.

@@laincoubert7236 No, the confession that Bradley made at the end of the finale. That she ran away to Montana because she was afraid to be loved for who she is. That clearly undercuts the gay romance, that she only went to be with Laura to escape her feelings for a man. A man “sees her for who she really is”, by contrast making her relationship with the woman false. Neither of the women involved got a say about the outing at all, either. They sent Laura back to the show that outed her years prior with zero explanation as to why she would downgrade back to morning television. To use queer relationships as a springboard or road stop on the way to heterosexual superiority is disgusting. It was an unfortunately and unbelievably homophobic finale.

@@TF-vb9us thanks for elaborating on the trope, although i still don't see how it can be considered queerbaiting, like there was literally a queer relationship on screen. personally i did not take bradley's words as a declaration of romantic feelings for cory. in theory the closest people to you (friends, family) should also see you for who you are. that vulnerability is frightening for traumatized people. i interpreted the scene as her showing appreciation for him and making a move to not make things worse. even if you take the romantic angle, those feelings are often complicated, especially on tv. two things can be true at once and this scene doesn't mean that her relationship with laura was shallow or meant nothing narratively. TMS's showrunner said in a recent interview that she views bradley and cory as sort of platonic soulmates, and idk maybe i'm naive, but i feel like the show managed to convey that.

To use a gay romance as a springboard, road stop, speed bump to straight happily ever after is disgusting to me. It’s fine if Laura and Bradley never see each other again. It would have been fine if Bradley and Cory eventually hook up, but to say that she was running away from someone who saw the “real her” heavily insinuates that she was running from someone who loved her the “right” or “true” way. Drawing in queer viewers with same sex romances only for it to be undercut by the righteous heterosexual love story is queerbaiting imo, just because they actually show them dating, fighting, saying I love you doesn’t mean that what Bradley said in the finale wasn’t biphobic drivel. It showed that her and Cory were the “real” love all along and that her thing with Laura was just a distraction for her to hide her “real” self.

this show is more in the vein of the good wife, if anything. It is a great show, it doesn’t have to be Succession to be good.
