World War Z's opening was absolutely brilliant for a zombie apocalypse movie. The fact that people are running left and right to survive while some of them get beaten by a zombie, you see a shot from above where the entire city is panicking is absolutely brilliant sequence for a zombie apocalypse

As a survival option you could cover with tarps then bury RV`s to be both to live in and as supply storage...I would put 2 side by side as a home and have tunnels made from van side/rear doors again covered in tarps to the permanently buried storage ones.

@SteveODonnell
@SteveODonnell 2 ай бұрын
@@ministry_of_codeI was on the set before filming started. It was weird to see Glasow looking so different. All street signs were replaced, all traffic lights changed and all the hydrants and trash cans around was surreal. The main part was George Square and the streets around it. That actual bit of the square and that corner was also in Hobbs and Shaw, and a Fast and Furious movie, as well as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
@ministry_of_code
@ministry_of_code 2 ай бұрын
@@SteveODonnell To walk into that after the folks have made the required changes without seeing the transformation must be a bit bizarre. I looked into a little bit and saw they changed the street name signs for American style and the things you've already mentioned such as stop lights and bins but I have to say it didn't take much to transform old Glasgow. Something for the City to think about.

One thing many people miss about this movie is that Israel was actually letting Palestinians into Jerusalem because “every person we save is one less zombie we have to fight.” I just loved that sight of Israelis and Palestinians working together to survive. Okay.... hear me out, lol. For those who don't know, the book is actually set after the war and told through the accounts of several survivors. Pitt's character, the events shown in the film, and even the type of zombies depicted were all created for the film. On top of that, the films production was incredibly problematic. Nobody seemed to know what direction to take the film in. By the time they started filming, the plot was being rewritten daily. Apparently, the script was such a mess that Pitt himself had to step in and help with rewrites as they were filming. All that being said, its kinda crazy just how entertaining this film is. I love how most of the movie focuses on these massive set pieces, but it caps off with a long, tense, quiet sequence that just keeps you squirming until the very end. And overall, the film has a really interesting story (taking a more scientific approach to combat the zombies), and the soundtrack, visual effects, and direction throughout are unironically excellent. It's not WWZ, but it's still a damn good movie.

I saw this movie in the theatres and I loved it 15 mins into it. While re-watching the movie i realised that at the climax when Brad pitt's character is stuck in the vault, with the zombie outside, not knowing which vaccine/disease to take, he could have told the camera through the notepad that he'll show the disease bottle on camera and if it's the right one, they should call on the same landline outside! He could have confirmed which one to take and which not to take. When watching the first time there's so much tension that we don't think about it. Beautiful film.

yeah that jump scare in the apartments when they were making way to roof scared the crap out of me when i was younger i was eating dinner and had my food on a laundry tout that was upside down then jump scare happened that i shot of it with me feet backwards on to the couch on the cushion that was in between my parents and my plate of food flipped over and was upside down on the floor and i didn't leave the couch after that but now that jump scare doesn't get me after that one time and grew up watching it and love it

Suggest the one thing you guesr missed is Brad’s character had worked for UN, likeky in third world countries that were at some point disease ridden… he was the guy who solved the riddle… his calmness was really deep experience as a UN observer… looking for clues… in those roles you become jack of all trades. His instinct to cut off a hand, in the midst of all the chaos in the city after his car was hit, he still observed people and their behaviors. He knew getting excited was not what sitiuation needed.

I loved how the mom wasn’t useless, like most zombie movies make family members out to be. She pulled Brad out of the way and kicked out the infected, picked out the apartments for cover, then also got and handled flares. She wasn’t the protagonist badass, but she was very useful.

Good action/zombie movie; Bad book adaptation. The movie depicts the beginning of the war. In the book, The War (That took decades to fight) has been over for 10 years, and a guy from the UN goes around the world, collecting testimonies of people who lived through the war (Civilians, Military Personnel, Governement Officials, Medical Experts, ect...). Some are horrifing, some are down-right just sad. Great read. Highly recommend.

The reason that the virus took 10 minutes originally was because it was still figuring out how best to infect humans, but as it spread more from person to person the virus got better and more efficient at infecting us. I learned this from RoanokeGaming explaining viruses and diseases in movies and tv shows.

If this film is viewed from being completely separate from the book, it’s not bad. IMO, this is a good blockbuster film, not much else. It’s fast paced, blood pumping, thrills, and some great action set pieces, it works as a surface level exploration of the theoretical zombie apocalypse. Yes, the book is MILES ahead of the film. I don’t like comparing them because each are so different and deliver such different views of a world war against the zombies. So if your one who adores the book and thought the movie would be a worthy adaption, I’m genuinely so sorry because it is NOTHING like the book. But, if you’re looking for a completely serviceable apocalypse movie with fast zombies, this is for you.

When they say Andrew knows everything, it's something like there was alotnof tension on this set. Just to clarify in case no body has yet. But suppressors dont really make it that quiet even with subsonic rounds. It would still echo down the halls just not as far. They do get used for ranged engagements because the sounds doesnt carry as far adn if they dd hear it they wouldnt be abe to pinpoint the exact location. In this situation it would have mattered because the infected that heard it would start screeching and being load with would just draw the others anyway

I absolutely LOVE this movie and everyone I know around me loves it too! Such a great film altogether. The only reason it gets hate from some people is because they are upset that the movie is nothing like the book. But the director of WWZ said he had no intention of making this movie to follow the book he just wanted rights to the general idea and the title. Even the book writer said he loved the movie and that it was different from his book. So it’s just another case of people always wanting to be mad at something. In a vacuum if you ignore the book, the movie was fantastic! Thanks for covering this one yall ❤

The last two min are closer to the book. Book is a UN historical review, where the Brad Pitt character is doing interviews for the UN, 10 years after the completion of major operations against the zombies. So you get a bunch of stories from different characters instrumental in the war. Also the zombies are slow. Amazing book by Mel Brooks son, Max.
