Uma is one of the best Disney Channel villains ever. China Anne McClain nailed this role and carried the movie. And "What's My Name" is one of the catchiest villain songs. It's taken up permanent residence in my head.

The Actor who played Captain Hook's son "Harry" he dated "Mal" Dove Cameron IRL. His name in IRL is Thomas and he's accent is real, he's from Scotland.

Man, i wish we could've seen Cameron Boyce in a Broadway theater work. If he was this good in singing and dancing in the Descendants movie, imagine his power when he stars in a Broadway show. He could've been a Tony Award winning actor! God damn it, i miss him so much. His death at a young age always reminds me that any of us could go any moment no matter how old we are 😥

The fact that Kenny Ortega was not only the director but also the choreographer for these huge musical dance numbers is freaking mindblowing. He was in his 60s when he choreographed the Descendants movies, this man's talent is beyond untouchable. He had a vision for what he wants, Disney let him do whatever he wants, and he did it brilliantly! I mean, the "W-I-C-K-E-D" part in "Ways To Be Wicked"? Pretty awesome moves

Two incredible fun facts : 1) "Chillin' Like A Villain" was shot during a typhoon (for those of you who don’t really know what a typhoon is, it’s essentially the same as a hurricane or tropical cyclone, just by a different term because of regional differences). It was the last scene to be filmed 2) "It's Goin' Down" was heavily inspired by Hamilton and West Side Story

The reason why Sarah Jeffery ( Audrey ) isn't in this movie is because she was a series regular on a show at the time called "Shades Of Blue" where she was playing Jennifer Lopez's daughter.

Chillin Like A Villain & What's My Name Were The BEST Songs That MADE This Film More Iconic Than The Original For Me. They Were ABSOLUTE BOPS When They Came Out & They Still Are To This Very Day. Such A Great Sequel

Why did I get excited about Tara getting a wig for the next descendants movie? 😂

You guys may have forgotten but magic doesn't work inside the barrier. That's why Mal can't change her hair magically once she entered, and it's also the reason Uma needs the wand. The wand is kind of like the ultimate magical artifact in this world, and it's the only thing that can perform magic inside the barrier, and Uma wants to use it to break the barrier down.

Uma is one of the best Disney Channel Villains. Love her costume, her palette, her song and the fact that she’s played by China Anne Mclaine is just better!

Just some following points that should be noted: Ben's fixation on Mal's accurate eye color in the picture stems from a dream he had in the prequel book where her eyes glowed green. Additionally, the song playing when Mal first enters the salon is from the Descendants' Wicked World show. There is also a deleted scene featuring Mal singing a reprise version of "If Only," which, if included in the movie, would have had a significant impact.

47:20 Also, there is a deleted scene right after that where Mal do a reprise of "If Only". I think it's important to mention it because it really shows Mal struggles with her new life. I'm so upset they cut it out, it's out on KZfaq if y'all want to watch it.

You guys would get a kick out of the series Kenny Ortega did for Netflix, Julie and The Phantoms; he used several Descendants actors, but it's also unique cause it tackled more band-style music, with actors all actually playing their instruments^.^

Fun Fact: the actors that played Harry and Gil had a scene together that was cut during filming, which they had shared a kiss. Both actors had done so because that was also done by their characters inside of the novel/book version. But scene was cut, however, there's an image of it online that one of the two actors had posted.

I watched this movie with my son a few years ago when he was still into Disney - he's a teen now and too cool for it - and we used to sing What's My Name all the time! We watched the first and second movies a few times. I think we watched the third movie together too but he was a bit less into is since he had gotten older. Before that, he was the choreographer for Dirty Dancing. Thomas Doughtery who plays Harry Hook is an actual scott in real life so that's his real voice. He and Dove Cameron, who played Mel, were dating at this time. They broke up a few years after they finished the film series.

I mentioned this on the first movie, but they filmed some of this at the X-Mansion/Luthor mansion/Queen mansion (from X-Men/Smallville/Arrow). You can easily tell that in the opening song. Anyone familiar with the X-Men franchise will notice the outside locations.

Oh man the hype for this sequel was nuts when it came out. I graduated high school at that time and I was so ready to watch this and when Ways to be WICKED started playing I lost it. It was definitely the best sequel at the time and the cast really stepped up their game with everything. But adding China Anne McClain as Uma was everything you could ask for. It was so many years after she did A.N.T. Farm so we were thrilled to see her come back to Disney Channel and she nailed it here and in D3. Now we're anxious to see more of her in the Rise of Red later this month. Also seeing Carlos and Jane's relationship build up was too sweet. I think the reason that Uma didn't feel like that much of a threat is because she's actually a good person. All she wants is to not be trapped, she wants herself and her people to be free, her ultimate goal is the same as Ben's, she was just done with it not being done yet. She's a really good villain in that way

Astonishing reaction!!! You’ve just witness the powerful vocals of Uma daughter of Ursula the Sea Witch played by China Anne McLain. Her mom is a cecaelia, half human half octopus. Now while you might be questioning Uma’s motives in the end credit scene, she did have point about the Isle. Their parents made their choice, and the VKs got punished for it. As Ben said it perfectly that she’s just an angry girl with a bad plan. And the she’s no different than when Mal came to Auradon.
