I really appreciate your reaction. I loved that they added the video of the lyrics and dance practice. But, as we love BTS so much, I suggest reacting to their live performances as well 😅😂. the lyrics are built on Martha Graham world famous choreographer. quote "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." So it's about being scared of losing the passion for their work/art, what they love. Shadows and light. Black and white.

It's great that you did a deeper dive into the music video. I'd like to make two suggestions. To get a clearer understanding of the lyrics, go to an explanation video (KZfaq) of BTS' songs. One of the most popular is "DKDKTV". They do a good job of explaining the Korean cultural references within the lyrics. My second suggestion is to also watch the BTS Live performance of the song. Watching them perform live really highlights just how incredible they truly are! 💜💜💜

Too bad you didn’t include the ‘behind the scenes’ practice of Jimin’s solo. They danced bare feet because Jimin is the contemporary dancer and he dances in bare feet (although he does that a lot for other dance practices too); they wanted to be uniform with Jimin and also it was really the right thing to do for an artistic piece like this.

Black Swan is my favorite BTS song! It's such a masterpiece. Both the music and choreography have so much meaning. The song and lyrics are about the loss, the inner battle, the realization of losing passion for something you love. In the song, the BTS members basically explored what might happen if music doesn't excite them anymore. It's such a reflective and authentic piece and it always made me feel like i'm not alone. That was Jimin dancing as he's trained in 2 totally different dance skills, for the MV he used his Contemporary dance training skills.

This brings to mind something RM said during a pre-debut VLOG. He had some serious issues with dancing, which he found extremely difficult. He said, "...I don't know how to move my body technically, beautifully". I wish he could have had a glimpse of this.

Im surprised no one has suggested watching the black swan art film performed by MN dance company. This film was released prior to them releasing the actual song, it was mesmerizing! Won’t mention too much, since I don’t want to spoil anything.

Black swan is a masterpiece. It’s about them losing their passion for music which would be their first death which is far more painful than the real death . So it’s lyrically and musically genius song . Now I really want you to check their black swan live performance of PTD concert . Their stage performances are art and unmatched . I don’t think I have even seen an artist doing the level of performance bts does . I am not even being bias or anything ,but it’s crazy how with every performance they bring something new ,like they have never performed same song same ever like u get what I mean like it’s always something new with each performance even with the same song performing multiple times ,they have never performed with same concept ,they always bring something new .

I think it's underrated but I think it's still a pretty good song from BTS. No music video though and I dunno about reacting to it, but y'all should check it out on your own time

And boy does the lyrics and even just the overall ambience hurt when you consider their history.
