Great design for a weekend warrior. Satisfying result. I like the primter/paint finish option. Personally, I'd stay away from skin contact with treated lumber for outdoor chairs. Instead I'd look at (more expensive) Cypress, Red Grandis or again, expensive White Oak as well as the suggested Cedar. Deck woods can be used, but Ipe is very expensive. And kills tools. Ha ha. Fun project. Keep 'em coming.

I was thinking pocket holes for the arms instead of the exposed screw would you say that’s a good idea?

Great videos. I just followed your dining table video and it came out great. It would be really helpful for beginners if you could also show videos of you buying the wood. Which type of wood and how you choose it at the store. One of the 1X12X6 boards was a bit curved and i couldnt notice that until i started assembling them at home. Thanks.

Love the videos. Very new to this and just doing it for a hobby. The super simple step by step videos are almost the only ones easy enough to follow i’ve seen on KZfaq. Much much appreciated. Would be nice if you had a Udemy or Skillshare course (e.g., like 10 simple builds). Would rather spend $10 there to support you guys than clicking on affiliate links and trying to not press skips on ads :)

Again another great video keeping things simple with minimal tools. So very helpful! I have also used paint stains for projects but just curious why you decided to do this instead of an actual stain, especially for outdoor use.

This is such a great build! I have one question though, is it possible to angle cut the 1x6 so that the back feet sit flush with the ground and not just board sitting on the ground?

Why does the back change from two boards to four boards while building it and back to two boards when showing finished product?

I see in the video you put 2 1x12 boards side by side for the back rest but at the end of the video the back rest are like 4 separate boards please explain trying to build and its driving me insane :) and can you provide the size for the boards at the end regarding the back rest. Thank you.

It looks like 4 boards but it’s actually 2 boards with a knot line running down the center.

Great job as always. Why don't you use wood glue on your projects and especially exterior wood glue this project? And they only other suggestion would have been to use gray primer instead of wait before painting. Great job though!

Another reason I adore the pair of you 0:48 ... true DIY'er's barefooted, no safety Sally googles, gloves etc. NO! I am NOT saying safety equipment should not be used! Some of us are risk takers 😜 Q: Ya know how much weight these chairs can hold? Should I allow my 300 lb friend to sit on one?

Hi. Are the boards actually 1x4, 2x4, 1x6….? I was converting your measures to cm and they look smaller than that in the video. Could you confirm the measures, please? I am trying to find nearest alternatives here in Europe. Thanks!
@TheRehabLife
@TheRehabLife Жыл бұрын
You're correct, they are smaller which can make things confusing for sure. Actual sizes are: 3/4 x 3 1/2 (for a 1x4) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 (for a 2x4) 3/4 x 5 1/2 (for a 1x6) 3/4 x 7 1/4 (for a 1x8) 3/4 x 9 1/4 (for a 1x10) 3/4 x 11 1/4 (for a 1x12)

Looks great. I’d be concerned with durability given the only thing supporting the back are screws. Over time, I would think they would start to work loose.

Your videos are so great, but it's not possible to build this with european dimensions. The wood is always something with 34,6788 cm. 😂😂
