* VISUALLY EXPLAINED
This unique full video version explains the fascinating way an Ultrasonic Cleaner actually cleans your carburetor and any other items for that matter. A vital tool in your toolbox is knowledge. Without knowledge, no one can fix anything.
In this video I explain, in unique detail, how the amazing Ultrasonic cleaner works, and how it creates the phenomena of boiling at temperatures of less than half that of boiling point (100 C).
It basically works using pressure waves, at an ultrasonic frequency, which in turn create cavitation bubbles. These cavitation bubbles implode (not explode), which gives rise to the cleaning process.
See the video to get more detail!
I hope you liked this video and please do like and subscribe
Many thanks indeed for watching

Excellent explanation on ultrasonic cleaners! It should also be noted that in HVAC situations, the vacuum drawn by the vacuum pump literally BOILS the water away out of the system, courtesy of the absence of pressure (e.g. vacuum) within the system. So, drawing a vacuum on water in a sealed chamber can also induce boiling.
@Umski
@Umski 2 жыл бұрын
My old physics teacher used to use a vacuum pump to dry out bell jars at school to demonstrate this principle - I often wonder if it could be used as a clothes drying process but would probably use more energy than a traditional tumble dryer :D
@FullCircleTravis
@FullCircleTravis 2 жыл бұрын
@@Umski Evaporation causes cooling, so you still need to provide heat. However the required temperature would be lower, which would allow certain fabrics to be dried.
@Umski
@Umski 2 жыл бұрын
@@FullCircleTravis heating the item is not strictly necessary (I don't think) as dropping the pressure allows the water to evaporate into the vessel in which the clothes and vacuum pump inlet reside, the issue would be how much energy the pump needs and how to remove the water vapour molecules and then how to re-apply pressure without all the steam condensing back into the fabric! Heating would certainly help speed up the process of water evaporation but isn't strictly necessary as the boiling point is being reduced so the liquid water can make an easier bid for freedom as vapour...
@FullCircleTravis
@FullCircleTravis 2 жыл бұрын
@@Umski Phase change from liquid to gas is endothermic.
@Umski
@Umski 2 жыл бұрын
@@FullCircleTravis indeed, hence latent heat and vapour pressure working together - the clothes and water would indeed get colder but that doesn't necessitate heating to get the water out, though it would of course help...

If you don't want to gunge up your cleaner's tank with oil and grease or _exotic_ solvents, you can put the dirty item(s) in a glass jar with the cleaning solution inside it. Of course you will still need to fill the tank with water to transfer the sound waves to the jar.

0:53 Factors. 9:37 It's also how refrigerators/heat pumps work with the refrigerant, compressor and condenser: the heat energy in the refrigerator has enough energy to boil the refrigerant into vapour (thus moving the heat energy from the inside of the refrigerator). Outside the refrigerator, the refrigerant vapor is compressed back into a liquid and heat is released (that's why the back of a refrigerator is always hot). The refrigerant is then pumped back into the fridge where it's pressure is much reduced (to below its boiling point) and the heat energy inside the fridge boils the refrigerant back into a vapour.

Thank you very much for producing this video. I had been thinking about getting one for my shed, but each other video I saw about them, made me more sceptical about their worth. For different applications, each video presenter focused more on what solvent or chemical to use, rather than any information about the machine's processes, causing me to ask myself if the machine is more a gimmick and the solvent the actual cleaner. Finding your video has now answered that for me, and I shall now proceed with my purchase of one. Thanks again.
