In this 'Chats In The Shack' episode, we talk with Paul Fellows, Computer Languages Group Leader at Acornsoft, and Software Manager for Acorn Computers, where he led the team that developed the RISC-OS (Arthur!) operating system for the first ARM based computers!
As well as having the first ever ARM machine to run stand alone on his desk, Paul is also the author of the classic 'Sphinx Adventure' and many other software titles.
In this discussion, we look back at the 'failure' of the electron, and the birth of ARM architecture.
With great thanks to Paul for his time, we hope you enjoy this look back at this ground-breaking slice of history, and enjoy a bit of ‘what if?...’ along the way.
