I just picked up one of these from Gamestop to go with my 1/4 scale Samus Varia suit statue from First 4 Figures. This Metroid is scale accurate to the statue.

A very cool looking Metroid. One of my favorite games. This one is nicely detailed and very cool it's posable. The underside does look like a devil face. 😆 the mandibles look fierce and sharp and the raspberry color paint was nicely done. The translucent powder dome looks amazing and the inner parts are sculpted well. It is very bulbous and brainy. The light up option is nice and makes the Metroid look alive and the veins on the dome pop. A pretty nice offering from Jakks Pacific. Thanks Spot!

This is a neat idea for a variant, but maybe could've been done a little differently. I was under the impression the "dome" would be colored more blue like in those press photos. I have the original version, but this is still great for those who missed out!
