We just did a 100k remodel of our large kitchen and equipped it with Thermador appliances. I agree that the fridge is a bit tall and I miss the convenience of the door ice and water dispenser on old fridge. That said I love the quality and wifi app features of the Thermador. It did take Home Depot a while to install the fridge but I do like the built in look.

Plastic folding stools are amazing and can be easily hidden/stored flat in the kitchen

Saw the thermador 48 inch in a showroom. It is a beautiful and very impressive. However, it is TALL. I am a bit over average height men's height, while my spouse is not as tall as me. It became apparent that reaching to the top shelf will be an issue for us. So based on our needs this is not a great fit for us. Really appreciate the review and the appliance advisers companion video review. They are spot on.

It's bad enough that Thermador is runner-up to SWC with regards to ovens, ranges, and cooktops. It's worse when their premium refrigerators are too tall for the average person to access the top shelf easily, moreso when it can cost hundreds more to install.
