Thermal Cameral Drone Above The Volcano And Lava Field By Grindavik

Күн бұрын

I did this thermal scan to show you how the hot lava field surrounds the village Grindavik and the little crater that burned down 3 residential homes is also still visible. It's also possible to see the path of the lava and where it has been accumulating, showing how useful this thing can be to react to hidden lava channels, like the one that crawled over a lava barrier 4 days after I thot this.

Thank you so much for your excellent work. As an old hippy born in 1956 , I have always been fascinated with the natural world and it's changing faces. Your work adds to our understanding of these things. The editing is first class and your photography is phenomenal. For years to come scholars will watch your work to chart the progression of Iceland growing into adulthood. It is much appreciated thank you sir for this beautiful insight to your wonderful country. Much love and blessings from Scotland

A large glossy print would be worth 50 to 75 USD to me. I love unique nature prints. This would be a unique purchase. Please sell one for 7,000 to 10,000 ISK. I would love to support you if the quality was high. I would not want a water color, as the thermal images alone have intrinsic color flow and balance.

Hi "mr justicelandic" very very good video. It's impressive how hot the lava still is. Anyone planning to walk on the lava should watch this video. Then they might think about whether it's necessary to risk their life just to get as many likes as possible on social networks and become "famous" à la "yeah, we were the subject of all the Icelandic news programmes".

Last year I went to Canary islands Vulcano (Spanish island in the Atlantic) 14 months after an eruption, and you could walk on a new build road across the lava, but there were still signs with: ' don;t go here toxic fumes possible' and some areas were still hot to the touch , with one spot being 80 Celsius!!!! The whole area was black without a single bit of plant life. I wonder how much time passes before the first seeds can germinate again . I also noticed how sharp and nasty the new rock was, very hard to climb or walk over... even without signs that said don't go here , I wouldn't want to go there without professional gear to protect myself.
@pascalekarger7527
@pascalekarger7527 3 ай бұрын
How quick plants grow again depends on how quickly fertile soil is permanently deposited on the lava. This can take a very very long time. As the plant life in Iceland is very fragile and erosion is severe because there are not many trees to hold back the soil, it is strictly forbidden to drive or hike off-road in Iceland. If you are caught, you will pay a lot of money. Yes, they did the same thing twice this year in Iceland they built road over the fresh lava so that you can get to Powerplant, the Blue Lagoon and Grindavík
