It's hard to say, but just factoring in the materials used for the book I would say it ranges from $4-$10. Most of the supplies I had on hand already!

Thanks for the review. Seems like WRM is trying to corner the crafter bookbinding tool market. If the Minc hadn't already come out I'm sure they'd be putting out a laminator too. Great for mass producing small notepads/journals with how fast it melts and cools. If you have a stack cutter you could make several easily from one book. This would also be nice for repairing old books. You could print a new cover and spine for a damaged paperback or reattach pages that fell out. Most hardcover books also have glued pages/signatures. Not sure I'd get this since I prefer the wire binding method. I'm a leftie and having flat, removable pages is important to me. Even for a regular memopad, it's a lot cheaper to use wet glue or get a readymade one and attach a cover to it. WRM is pretty hit and miss with more misses than hits. They put out cheaper more affordable versions of commercial equipment but a lot of the time it's just not at the level I'm hoping for and after a certain price point, I'd rather save up for a better machine. For a thermal machine their price isn't too bad though. I got the round hole cinch and love it but the square hole one didn't leave even clean punches. I waited for years hoping for a cartridge type cinch (commercial ones like the Akiles flexipunch or Rhin-O Tuff Onyx run you close to 4 figures for a manual punch and thousands for the electric) and now they've finally put it out but they don't have the removable pegs I wanted. I might have still got it for the disc or heart holes but just about every reviewer has said it doesn't line up properly.

Thanks for your comment! I didn't think about repairing old books with this machine, great idea! And I think We R Makers designs their products specifically for crafters. Sure the commercial equipment may be more accurate, but way more expensive like you mentioned. I love that We R Makers makes affordable versions for our use. 😁

Unfortunately it's just the nature of this binding method. You can score the covers so that you can fold it back or leave a gap between the spine and cover if you're doing a hardcover. Then make it like a baby board book where each page is actually a folded sheet. The pages would be glued together at the fold instead. Not great if you want to tear out individual pages though and your size is limited on how big the paper is. Hardcover books have different styles. Some have pages glued individually like a paperback but some have the signatures folded, stitched and then glued. The folded signatures lay flatter and if the pages are heavy enough they will stay open on their own. Little Golden Books have a gap between the chipboard spine and cover to make it easier to fold back but wear and tear will eventually crack and expose the paper core.

i brought this machine... i don't want to use blank copy paper.. i want to use journal and note pages to do lists affirmations and gratitude pages like a work book with lines and different color pages.is there a website i can download free pages from or a computer program i can use?TFS

I'm not sure about free, but you can go on Etsy.com and search for printable gratitude journal pages. You can find lots printable page inserts you can use. Most are a few dollars and you can print as many as you need!

If you want a lot of colored lined paper you can buy colored legal pads or lined memo pads. They might not be cheap but unless you're using a printer with CIS (like the epson ecotank or modding your own printer) it'll cost a lot more in ink just printing those lines. Black laser printing is cheap but a colored one is expensive and the print quality isn't as good as inkjet printing. To save ink you can also look for thin scrapbooking paper in lighter colors/designs (not cardstock, the stuff that's copy paper weight) and print on that. Sometimes you can find copy paper with preprinted boards in places like Dollar Tree/local thrift store near you. Most places charge for those sorts of pages. Even free office programs require you to pay to unlock their premade templates. Others require you to make an account with them and then you get flooded with advertisement emails. Best way is just to google free templates or make your own. If you have a basic word processor it's not too hard. Not sure what your computer operating system is (I use windows) but Microsoft word/excel, Apache Openoffice, or WPS will work. Basic things you need to know are how to change page layouts, spacing, font color/size, insert images, layer images and reduce image opacity. You can click underline, change font size for spacing/thickness and just hold the space bar to make lines. Change font colors for different colored lines. It's time consuming but you can change the color of only parts of a line and form images when you look at it as a whole block.

You can use your own paper, cardstock or material to make your own. Amazon sells thermal bookbinding glue strips and they are very inexpensive.

I thought you have to use a glue strip with the binders. But the binders already have a glue strip? I contacted the company and they made it sound that you must use a glue strip. I am confused. I just got my machine yesterday.

Hi! Yes, the glue strips come on the spines. But you can also buy extra glue strips if you want to use different paper to make your own spines.

I would buy but We R Makers has tendency to have flaws. Have bought cinch mini with all attachments and was totally disappointed....The holes do not line up properly....You have to make your own work around. So I personally would not spend the money.

Hmm that's interesting! I have the regular cinch and haven't encountered any problems yet (fingers crossed). But you're not the first person to say they've ran into issues. I do think certain machines/ projects can be more finicky than others.

The problem you are having with the regular cinch may be due to the wires or spirals you ate using. Double check if you are using 3 holes to the inch or 4 holes to the inch. I had your problem until I got that part figured out.

@@thebanjolady I have the multi cinch mini.....And if you follow directions your holes never lines up with the paper correctly.....I had to find a video for a work around.... Now I do not use mine at all.... We R Makers should have given better instructions for lining up the paper correctly with or without a work around.
