Thermonuclear Godzilla VS Evolved Godzilla - Which Is Stronger? Transformations and powerups have been a big staple in numerous works of fiction for several decades. We've seen it in everything from Dragon Ball Z, to Bleach, to Naruto, to Yu Yu Hakusho, and much more! However, we have also seen such a prospect in action within the Godzilla franchise in the form of the Burning Heisei Godzilla who faced off against the demonic kaiju, Destoroyah. Now, with the addition of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. Legendary Big G has once again obtained a new metamorphosis that's called Evolved Godzilla. But, how strong is this form compared to his Thermonuclear state in the battle against King Ghidorah? Is he even stronger, or about the same? Find out the answer to this and much more as I go over feats, scaling, statements, and the like to decipher which form is outright superior!

Thermonuclear is most definitely stronger. Period. If you look at Supercharged Evolved Godzilla and its effect on the environment of Rio, you see that the buildings aren’t even glowing. When you compare that to TN Godzilla, who melted the whole of Boston by simply walking. And when you say:”Oh the reading showed TN Godzilla didn’t have as much radiation”. No, that’s Juiced Godzilla before getting Mothras energy. After that Monarch left, so Monarch never had any Readings of TN Godzilla. More radiation = more heat. TN Godzilla had more heat so TN Godzilla has more radiation. More radiation = more power, meaning TN Godzilla is more powerful the SCE Godzilla. And Ghidorah doesn’t get low diffed by Shimo. Shims high diffs Ghidorah. Also to the creator, saying Tiamat is equal to Ghidorah is crazy and you know it.

Evolved Godzilla has such a cool design that it would be unfortunate if they got rid of the pink colors which made it unique. Since it was inspired by Kaioken they can probably have it stack onto his normal blue state when he goes into his super charged state. That way they can keep both of the colors without it being a temporary thing.

Maybe similar to the Heisei series where burning is the most powerful but he can’t hold onto that much power for long. Maybe the evolved form can handle higher and more stable forms.

I like that the argument is “who is the strongest?” between both. Strength is defined as the ability to overcome resistance therefore, Evolved Godzilla achieving a power capacity that’s 20x more that what it was in his base form could be argued as “overcoming a resistance” or his base power capacity threshold. Having said that however, I’d like to see a match up where you argue “who’s more powerful?”. Great video as always 😌👌🏾

Point is kong momentarily incapacitated Godzilla long enough to drag his body a considerable distance. I seen the movie in theatres and there was clearly a scene of Godzilla opening his eyes all dazed after eating those hands from kong. Was probably out for like 15 seconds

Something to note is that Burning Godzilla himself is different in G:KOTM's novelization compared to the film, as it's not depicted as something that gives Godzilla a significant edge over Ghidorah, more so resembling the initial fight they had in Boston despite being described as fiery orange as well. So THAT Burning state is something I could easily believe GxK:TNE's Evolved state in the novelization could be higher than if Greg Keyes was working off of his previous novelizations primarily for reference. HOWEVER.... that's not to say I disagree with the assertion that Godzilla Evolved can't be superior to Burning Godzilla.... just not in his base Evolved state. I believe he only truly reaches and potentially slightly surpasses the sheer raw power output (IN THE FILMS, not the novelizations which are secondary canon) of Burning Godzilla when he overcharges himself into that full-body glow, when he's outputting the "Evolved Spiral Ray" and able to actually sweep it around whereas the overcharged Atomic Breath he used in GvK to drill to the Hollow Earth wasn't controllable. And even then, I still think Burning Godzilla is something special, coming about as a combination of Godzilla and Mothra coming together in union. That's something that ought to remain potent and beyond most conventional levels of power, signifying the power of their symbiosis and familial relationship in general.

I believe the comic that showed godzillas ability to sense monsters all over the world because of Mothras sacrifice also said he got a pretty big buff from the sacrifice overall. Aparently, it didn't affect the radiation amount but instead increased his control of the radiation drastically. You can see this in the movies if you compare his more fire like breath in kotm to his Lazer in gvk. Plus, I believe he got a bit taller as well, but that probably always happens.

I find getting statements from the GxK novel only a bit ignorant. There is also the fact, Shimo didn't overwhelm Gidorah in the past, it was a 3v1 with Godzilla, Mothra and Shimo. Also Godzilla was heavily weakened and starved in GvK, I don't think he fully recovered from this. But still a W Video!

I don't really like Thermo and easily prefer Evolved, but it just doesn't make sense to me that it would be stronger than Thermo. Thermo Godzilla easily and nearly eradicated Ghidorah in 3 shots, just leaving the middle head. Despite Kong being powered up, I find it impossible to believe he could daze and last longer against a stronger Godzilla than the one Ghidorah faced off against. And from what we can tell, Ghidorahs attacks had no effect on Thermo.

Do you think Minus One’s durability is any less than Showa G’s or do you think he is the same and Minus One just uses the pre established lore to find a unique way of taking Godzilla down? 2. Do you think MV Goji is just as strong as Heisei and this is just an updated version of him or is Heisei Goji physically stronger due to the way he threw MG2? Thermo imo takes the dub since evolved is stated to be a 2x power amp and when greg keys was asked about the power levels he just said evolved had more control than nuke amped goji who was gonna explode so the novel isnt really that reliable in power

Keep in mind that the 2x power Amp applies to his pure physical strength, and is multiplied off of his Supercharged state in GxK, which excluding both Evolved and Burning, is the strongest we've seen Godzilla in the Monsterverse, and is stronger than Supercharged Godzilla in KOTM. The difference in strength between his base form and Evolved Form is most likely higher than 2x.

Ngl, and I have no proof of this being the actual case, but after Godzilla went Thermonuclear and beat Ghidorah, I just kinda assumed that level of power became his base power level lol. Kinda like how Goku absorbed the power of Super Saiyan God into his regular Super Saiyan form so effectively when fighting Beerus that he didn’t even notice he’d lost the God form.

Hmm, I can see why some believe thermonuclear is stronger than Evo because GxK did a poor job of demonstrating how powerful the form could be in the film. It's more so because the movie (and by extension, the novel) did a poor job of demonstrating the evolved form's strength rather than simply stating it. For example, in media, it is most typical to demonstrate the difference in power by the scale and actions of a character. This is basic stuff, but the issue with GxK is that they didn't have the time or effort to demonstrate that Evolved was stronger than the thermonuclear. The first fight he's shown involves him being beaten up by Kong and then after that, it's not shown doing much to Shimo (And according to some the novel says that Evo was weaker than Shimo) which begs the question. "How is this form stronger when the first thing people see is it getting beat up and not doing much at all"? Like when you compare them Thermo seems a lot stronger than Evo from a viewpoint(Thermo literally vaporized Ghidorah Meanwhile Evo only used His atomic breath and Raw agility/Raw strength). Honestly, they could have done a lot with Evolved, including giving him new powers or abilities that demonstrate the strength difference between this form and his previous ones, such as the atomic punch(As a reference to Mecha Godzilla Plasma punch), a purple/pink nuclear pulse comparable to Thermonuclear (without the Mothra wings). Make him do something with the Thagomizer, on his tail? Godzilla's evolved form had enormous promise, but it was abandoned before it could ever realise it.

One question Is the supercharged state being compared to thermonuclear Godzilla? Or the Nuke absorbed Godzilla that arrived at Boston? Considering both were glowing blue and where considered "charged beyond Goji's limits" Because the thermonuclear state wasn't achieved just by absorbing the Nuke, it was also Mothra's energy increase

The novelization compared it to the burning form. Regardless the evolved form would be stronger, since during the final battle the novelization directly confirms the evolved state powering up to the burning form and outright says that the evolved form is on a whole other level compared to the burning form.

@@HydragonofDeathit just says 20x capacity for radiation and not 20x stronger. Thermo output still outscale Godzilla's evolve form in radiation output. The question is that, if the evolve form would be equal or stronger in output than the Thermo because Godzilla hasn't gone Thermo yet in his evolve form. BTW Thermo is special because mothra gave up her energy to Big G.

@@deepdungeon8465 The thing is, we know Godzilla gets stronger the more radiation he has (in KOTM he absorbs a nuke and becomes much stronger), in his evolved form, if he can hold 20X more radiation, that would mean his base energy output could potentially be multiplied by that much.

@@HydragonofDeath that's the real factor everyone misses about. The output of pure energy he releases in his Thermo form is powerful vs his base Evolve form. If Big G would turn Thermo form (the output would be 20x than his KotM) again in his Evolve form Shimo would be super roast.

There is nothing that says it is 20X the KOTM amp, and either way the AMPed form for Godzilla in GxK should be stronger than the one in KOTM, considering he was literally boiling the water around him while swimming,

I think the evolved form of godzilla mostly gave him a larger energy capacity (although it did also give him a power boost) so that he wouldn't go thermonuclear And when I say "thermonuclear" I don't mean the form he takes in kotm, I mean it prevents him from exploding The reason he took that form in kotm was because mothra removed his limit completely (or at least i think that's what she did)

I saw a great video explaining that evolve is supposed to be stronger, but the problem is that not once does the film makes it seem like it's more powerful than thermonuclear Godzilla. What Thermonuclear did was freaking insane releasing so much nuclear energy pushed king ghidorah arguably the strongest kaiju that Godzilla faced and melted his skin like it was nothing. Only problem I have with Godzilla vs kong a new empire that not once does it seem like that evolved Godzilla was more powerful then thermonuclear like I need to see actual feats not just stated from human characters.

Well that certainly wasn’t conveyed well in the film. You can’t show him getting rocked by Kong to the point that it’s not unreasonable to believe Kong could’ve killed him had he kept hitting him, and then expect us to believe he’s more powerful than a form that laughed off Ghidorah’s gravity beams and annihilated him completely

Radiation levels might be higher but have we also considered the temperature for Burning Godzilla? Because if he was going Thermonuclear then his temperature should rival or dwarf that of stars.

The evolved form is a stronger and more controlled version of Godzilla. That’s why he doesn’t have energy leaking out everywhere. So thermo is more dangerous but evolved is stronger

20x applies to Godzilla's energy capacity. While this does mean he can get many times stronger than his original base form, the strength multiplier for Evolved is not 20x.

This is like saying a hand held laser with a battery that can hold the same amount of energy as a lightning bolt, is more powerful than a lightning bolt. This is the same for Power Rangers Dino Charge’s Energems which hold limitless amounts of energy but anything powered by it does minimal damage to the surrounding area and the monsters the rangers fight.

@321gggnils That may exclusively apply to Full Power Evo, but not base Evo and his base physical strength, it's still 2x that of Supercharged Godzilla, which most likely has an unknown multiplier on top of Base Godzilla.

I feel like they made shimo way too strong, to have her matching evolved godzilla just puts her so far above literally everything else in the verse, next movie has to give godzillas base form a boost
