This is quite possibly the most informative video I've ever seen on saddle fitting. This woman brought more information in twenty minutes than I've heard my entire life. I sure hope there is a part II. She is definitely an expert. Thanks Reed.

Reed, this was very informative! I trail ride mules and was very interested in the equine anatomy and cinch lengths. Does Wendy have instructional videos about fitting mules? I’ve kinda been part of your family since 75 with speaking assignments with your awesome dad.

I remember when I was 15 my step dad having a custom saddle made for my horse. The guy came out and measured my horse because he was a cross between a Quarter and a Morgan. I still have his bridal. Plus the guy had to measure me when I was sitting in a saddle. I was told the saddle tree also had to fit my backside when sitting. People like her have to know their stuff. She is a very smart saddle maker. Nice job talking with her.

I know her as well. I met her a few years ago and she taught me and others how to ride a horse. I see her every year in December in Vegas.

Those old center fire rigs were started like she said in the 1800s… But we know horses were longer bodied too, they were more along the lines of saddle bred and standard bred.. Tennessee walker genes

What an amazing class on horsemanship in regards to saddle fit and horse anatomy and function. Been in and around the horse business a long time, never heard the details she shared with us. A lot of folks could benefit from her knowledge. Thanks for this one.

Very informative video I had a little buckskin horse that didn’t have any wethers he was good little horse but trying to keep a saddle on he was not a horse you wanted to rope off him that was when I was young and dumb miss the day’s when dad was alive and we had cattle and horses
