I have huge respect for The Beatles and Elvis but... We owe The Rolling Stones for what we have today called "Rock Music" in this planet. For me They are the Best "Bad Boys" of Rock World and the best band ever...

I agree I saw them in concert during the 40 Licks Tour in Nashville...they are professionals...someone threw a bra on stage but Mick Jagger immediately and swiftly picked it up and tossed it to the back in a nanosecond. There weren't any other disturbances after that....they are the very BEST and my forever favorites

Nobody knows that Rolling Stones have the most songs in major production movies ever. Last count, 157 times. This alone puts them in number one position as the greatest band ever! I believe this is the best version of Sympathy for the Devil.

I was at that concert, and the entrance was freaking amazing. Mick and the boys are really sounding absolutely incredible 🎉🎉 Mick,is always ready to get the fans amped up and that's what a genius frontman does. They are definitely coming in hot 🔥 But,that's how they do it come in 🔥 and hard and bad ass.

Saw them in Nashville during their 40 Licks Tour, it was the ultimate adrenaline rush....still get goosebumps thinking about it. We had great seats, I was able to interact with the backup musicians and was able to see what was going on on stage...INCREDIBLE. An advertisement blimp almost landed on my head and i had raised my hand up in reflex, touching the propeller...my finger was bleeding and here came the EMT's, I sent them away...told them I gladly lose a finger for Mick Jagger LOL I was fighting them...no way was I going to leave LOL LOL I was high on adrenalin...didn't feel any pain LOL LOL

I was born in 1984. Gave up my ticket to a patient at Walter Reed in 2012 and missed them in New Orleans at the Superdome during the Pandemic, and now Mr. Watts is gone. Ugh. I like Steve Jordan, too, that ain’t it. But I really, REALLY regret not saying them with Charlie. My 40-year-old heart will have to go on😅….may have to reassemble the old band and record our own. Anyways, y’all take care out there!

🤔 I find it very hard to believe that there are close to 2 MILLION views, but ONLY a few hundred comments on this video! I’m what would be considered ‘old’ now, having grown up with the Stones and others in this genre of music. This was 1st performed in 1973 when I was finishing high school and starting college. While this song’s not my favorite of the Stones, it’s still one of the ones that I ❤, like Angie and Wild Horses, that were done the same year. Both of these were played and slow danced to at EVERY single formal/prom night we had during those years. What great 👍 music that brings back so many wonderful memories of the days gone by - in one sense of having been exposed to the kind of music that doesn’t exist today! It’s a shame imo that MOST of the younger generation either doesn’t appreciate, know about (or care to) what they missed out on. But thanks to the technology we have today, there’s no excuse for any lack of ability. Everyone all over the world has the opportunity to watch the live performances (like this) and/or listen to the recordings of them - IF they were interested enough!

erictoniaschwab1009 Yes, it has become somehow taboo. I don’t know why, it’s being sung from “ the devil’s“ point of view so he’s had a hand in all things bad. If I had to guess, it’s more likely the lyrics “ it was you and me”. Hope you catch them on the upcoming 2020 tour. Blessings and Roll On!

james boyer Funny you should pose that point! I recently pondered this question: “If I were super wealthy or deemed “royalty” at a time when there was no law enforcement like today, would creating an ideas that “A camel passes easier through the eye of a needle than a rich man through the gates of Heaven” or “The love of money is the root of all evil”. Maybe, I would decide to spread that greed and envy were both tickets to burn in hell? Murder as well. But mostly, if I were a billionaire from a long line of family wealth, and I told you that the rich created the idea of Hell to keep the common folk from taking whatever they want by force with no repercussions, you may feel like you have heard an ancient secret. If a poor man poses the same thoughts, he’s a conspiracy theorist and a bitter jealous person. This seems to against the quote “The greatest trick the devil ever performed was convincing man that he didn’t exist.” Unless, it’s true that he doesn’t, but is the invention of the rich to keep wealth ,and all the sinful pleasures that come with it, as their own “membership has its privileges” culture.
