“Definition of Ugly is” is actually the song I related to most on the album especially after I heard the explanation behind the title. I am 60 and I’ve spent most of my life wondering why I’ve never been ‘passionate’ about anything and sometimes faking deeper emotion than I really felt. I’ve experienced love (Lucky me) and loss, deep happiness, fear and anxiety. I think I’ve come to realise that life is actually not a drama - it’s many moments of ordinary with some highlights and some calamity- and that’s ok. Enjoying the highlights and enduring through calamity shapes us and refines us. It’s awesome that you shared your thoughts with her as human beings together. And aside from anything else, or any meaning the song has, it sounds genuinely good. I especially love the guitar break.

Knowing that your idol wrote a song based on your story and listening to them singing only for you and on top of that tattooing his 🦵 and getting to have even just a bit of skinship is a dream come true.. Jealousy at its peak..

Not only do I love that they took stories from fans in order to connect with them on a deeper level, but you can see how the Rose are just 4 guys that love music so much that they want to use what they love to touch the lives of others. I have truly enjoyed getting to know them as a band and I have truly been blessed for being able to attend their concert this past Saturday in Atlanta.

The Definition of Ugly Is really hits home for me. The lyrics remind me of So Far Away by AgustD, talking about how he feels so far behind while everyone else is climbing to the top and not being able to find a passion and loving that said passion. Then the chorus saying to keep dreaming and everything will come into light, which then ties into his song Snooze. There’s so much beauty in these 3 songs, music is such a healing factor

Very inspiring story. Here is another story you may want to us. Some people are extremely sensitive and empathic. I am one of those people. When someone gets excited, I get excited with them. When someone is upset, I feel upset with them. As a music teacher, it means that whatever emotion or physical sensation is felt by my student, I feel it and use it to guide them in changing what needs to change for better learning and interpretation of the music s/he working on. As a result, you can imagine that I like to spend a lot of my time alone to get over so much transferred energy inside me. It is a different way of living, but so rewarding at the same time. It used to be overwhelming, especially in situation full of negative emotions. Overtime, I have learned to redirect the energy in a way the send it on a more positively constructive direction without denying the existence of the negative emotions and sensations that was at the start of the process. Because a process is what it is and it is continuous and never ending throughout our lives. ... and we keep on growing. This is why I love your work so much.

Couldn't bring myself to watch this cause i knew i'd cry and i really cried when hajoon started talking about not getting immersed on things and how that's okey, i really needed to hear that (what the fan was talking about is so me, good to know am not the only ugly duckling in this world lol) i wrote a whole big paragraph about my experience with that but couldn't send it back then and i wrote it again here as a comment but deleted it and am writing this instead ...
