If anything, I think it illustrates how Pearl is absolutely NOT over Rose because her interest in PHMG was only piqued because of PHMG's resemblance to Rose. If Sabina's hair had been purple or green I don't think Pearl would've been nearly so interested.

It’s a shame the Mystery Girl/Sabina plot-line had to be sidelined with the rushed Season 5 and Future series. I’m sure there are other plot points that weren’t touched on by the end of Future, but that one especially would’ve been fun to see.

I suppose I could buy the theory that Sabina is a gem descendant. It's better than her being full gem or a first generation hybrid. However, I just don't think it to be true. Sure the Crew falls in love with their characters, but I still doubt they'd tack on such a major arc to a character who was only meant to show up a handful of times.

Despite the fact that Rose Quartz was confirmed to be pink diamond, many points in this theory have not yet been disproven except for the points relating to the zoo arc. However, Sabina could've been a descendant from a human gem hybrid from the gem war era, so this theory isn't disproven yet. TBH, if they ever bring back the show, or go for another movie, they should really explore the concept of other human gem hybrids possibly existing. Like, say steven meets someone on his road trip who looks human and acts human, but notices a gemstone on their, say, arm. Steven would likely freak out over the prospect of there being another gem hybrid on earth, but I could also see the other hybrid trying to say it's just a birthmark assuming they don't know their heritage. However, steven would explain what that "birthmark" actually is, saying its a magical gem, then showing off his gem and the powers that come with it. Then I can see a montage of steven training this new character on their gem abilities and all the funny moments and mishaps that come with it. I can also see the possibility of there being a fusion between 2 half gem hybrids being an interesting concept to explore.

When the movies come out already but we haven't seen anything about any other gem hybrids or Sabina 👀

Ehhhh. I mean.... I dunno. I feel like it has a stronger impact of change for Pearl if Mystery Girl/Sabina is just a human. It means more of a connection between humans and gems than just Steven; character development in that Pearl finds happiness in another individual. A *human* at that. It sounds more narratively appealing and way less convoluted than there being these random hybrid humans. Who are these gems? Where are they? Where were they in the war? Eh. It's interesting but it brings up too many questions and breaks the focus of Steven being a bridge for humans and gems.

I think a more plausible theory is that Sabina is descended from another 'Gem-Enhanced' Human, basically someone like Lars. Perhaps Sabina's ancestor was one of Rose's human lovers, and one time when they were mortally wounded, Rose brought them back with her tears just like Steven did with Lars. However, this person was horrified by what Rose did and fled, eventually having children that would ultimately result in Sabina.

Well now this is sorta wrong because pink diamond is rose, but this would be fudging awesome

I'm surprised you didn't talk more about the context of what Kevin said, like specific context. If Steven messes this up with connie it could be Sabina all over again. Does he mean a break up... or the humiliation of being stood up by the "coolest person" supposed to attend the party? I think maybe part of reason Kevin is so wowed by Stevonnie is they're similar in personality, Stevonnie refusal to let him get to them (when he's trying to get a Rose out of people), made them cool in Kevin's eyes. It's not if a romantic nature with Sabina (so it's not an age issue), but rather a need to be seen with someone he sees as cool (Lars parallel). But here's another possibility in terms of the "S. Origin Mystery" Sabina was actually a REVIVED human (or the child of a ((pregnant?)) healed human) She could have lied about hair dye because she knows humans with pink hair is weird in the "real world" and her hairs actually pink or she dies it pink to remind her of her own mother/mothers savior... "Her skin isn't pink", you say? What if she was healed at the brink of death, someone so injured a Quartz, like never before or after, had to come heal them. The healing came more in the form of revival power rather than something simpler, like healing. After the human was changed by the power, but not as completely as someone who was officially dead (or in the case of a pregnant human- it wouldn't have been passed down), *then* they discarded the human-gem hybred. Perhaps this is where rose first got the "seed" idea of creating Steven. (That's my theory on how she was able to create Steven- using something similar to the revival power she used on lion and Steven on Lars, but with gregs DNA). But idk! Lots of snowballs lol
