I'll try to figure out how Mario Party would work as a board game. The minigames and events would be in the form of cards, which are shuffled so you don't know what will happen. For example, a Bowser Card would force you to give your coins to a sort of coin cache, Chance Time card would force you to swap coins or a star with a player, and perhaps the Minigame cards would be in the form of a quiz or something.
