I change my fuel water separator filter 2-3 weeks. It’s simple just get a davco filter wrench keep 3-4 water separator filters in truck. And for as pms go I do mine every 12,000-15,000. Miles. Fuck what the dealers say. Especially if you idle your truck.

Best part was the oil part. I’ve been questioning my company on their pm schedule. As I have a 21 freightliner and I’m at 54k miles so far and they haven’t done anything other than do some updates to the transmission and other computers on the truck as part of a recall. But they say Fliner recommends 75k on these engines for a pm service. Trucks running fine but that’s a bit high. I can’t see my filter like you but I’m sure it’s bad.

10:20 Re oil on the leaf springs my Dodge D250 manual says when changing the oil brush a coat of the old engine oil on the leaf springs to prevent rust and lubricate.

You should get the chrome mirror caps for that truck and some of the cool lug nut caps like the western star had. It would look dope. And should get some color changing led inside the cab.

Love the videos of you fixing up accident damaged trucks and searching for parts best, but most stuff you do is fine.

You have to tune the antenna to the radio, preferably to the particular station frequency you use the most. May have to trim a mm off the length repetitively until the swr comes down.

I drove for ups for 33 years. Left in 2006. Love following you. About the diets. On low carb high fat, you cannot cheat. Think almost no carb and no sugar ever. It knocks the diet off course and becomes harder to get it to kick in. After I left I ended up with 2 stints to open up clogged heart. 80%and95%. Think about this. Not saying anything about keto or whatever it is as I know nothing of it.

I work for large rental and leasing company, we service our trucks at 50.000 miles , change the water and fuel filter when gets near top in between oil changes , it depends on the quality of the fuel

Hey Rusty move the switch to swr..then put it on channel 1 or 40..then move the dial on the far right to adjust the swr..it should stay be on the edgeof the green on both ch 1 and 40..ir go on yt for help lol..just make sure to take it off swr after..hope it helps

@11:30 red is only legal facing towards the rear & rear sides ,can't be facing directly front forward out the grille or front foward lights, its actually a US DOT & FMVSS regulations, Amber is legal in any direction,the red looks totally awesome coming out that grille though & it's only the glow & not seeing the actual strips ......so you can probably get away with it 👍

@4:03 , I always make my own wiring & use OEM type connectors such as Delphi or PED OEM terminals, I never use cheap electrical components or wires,especially China made ones, I got the OEM crimper tools & the actual OEM pins ,some of those crimper tools cost several hundred dollars a piece & usually sold to OEM manufacturers or dealers, the wiring harnesses look factory when done,I don't use connectors like @16:20

The cobra meter switch was in the s/rf setting more is better there, in the swr switch setting less is better on the meter.

Just because oil is black don't mean it's bad but I do agree on changing it sooner then 75k if you the owner of the truck

tune the CB antenna 1 to 1 will help with the SWR the 760 and the 860 have the same cab mounts trust me I know my fleet are all 760-860

When you coming back to Bakersfield? Have you had a coolant filter fail on you from too much pressure.

Tune the antenna not the radio. The SWR is off because the antenna is too long or too short.

As soon as you key the mic. Your antenna light comes on. That won't happen if you have it tuned right.

Check where fueling up as most likely suspect fuel heard from many that some truck stops use Monkey diesel so have a read/poke about

7ouncan take the truck to dealership and they can turn off the safe sensors. That way you don’t have dash lights on. Most dealerships say can’t be done. I know it can adjusted mine at a Ryder shop. But they got instructions from volvo on how to do it

if the oil usage continues you have a problem that engine should not be using any oil and thats the wrong oil you were adding full synthetic only. also that fuel/water separator should not be getting to that level unless you purchased some contaminated fuel.
