💥NEW💥 Sandra Lett Amazon Paperback Books:
Dream Journal (Sketch & Prompts): www.amazon.com/dp/B094CT7JR8/...
Daily Journal (Sketch & Writing): www.amazon.com/dp/B094CWJK86/...
I used DecoArt Americana and Artists Loft products. I took my acrylic paint and mixed it 1:1 ratio with Owatrol Easy Flow in cups. I then added water to get my mixture to a cream consistency like honey pouring off of my stick. I then poured into squeeze bottles.
They are easier to control the flow of paint for this technique.
I was asked to try a butterfly using this technique. After my painting is thoroughly dry a minimum of 72 hours, I will seal it with multiple coats of a High Gloss Varnish with a sponge brush. Tip** I store my sponge brush in a sealed Ziploc bag between coats without having to rinse it.Thank you for watching my videos regularly. It means the world to me. I have added a Paypal link below if you would like to donate to my art supplies which are very costly and will allow me to continue to experiment trying to make more beautiful art! Please SUBSCRIBE to my channel for many more future videos. All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated! Supporting my art helps me to create more beautiful art for you and everyone to enjoy. Art can get quite expensive to make! Thank You!

I've watched 100s of pouring videos from many artists. Most are boring (watching somebody waste 10 minutes mixing paint without editing), and frankly if you've seen one, you've seen them all. Mix, pour, watch, done. YOU are different. You don't just mix paint and pour. You take it one step further by using the pour as an underpainting, and then creating art over it as would a conventional artist. Now that's art in my opinion.

Thank you JM... I have watched 100s as well.. And I do love a beautiful pour. And I show those as well. I have been an artist for 20 years and I do try at times to do it with intention... Thanks!

I have those.. and store other stuff in it... But for controlled swipes, I like these special bottles. They have a small opening and you can control the amount of paint coming thru the tip much better

Loved the tutorial. You made it seem so easy than getting the same unsure result with tilting esp for novices like me. I am raring to try one small one first. How would a feather work for swiping. No torching ? How did you get the cells? I am a new onlooker, layman to this art.Thank you so much 🙏

This is yet another beautiful work! The things though that are priceless !!! are when something does not work out and you have to fix it. i.e. when the wing had a separation and you added a bit more black and pulled it down with your finger. When the top right wing got black messed up a bit doing the background and again you used your finger to fix that area. Those are the things that students need and I would encourage you to mention "what happened and when it does, this is how you fix it". I noticed another time you touched with your finger and "fixed" some little spot (?) on the upper left wing. I wish you had have mentioned what you saw that you felt needed to be fixed and "this is how you fix it". I am really enjoying watching you create beautiful works of pure art. Very nice!

Jenn Lec thank you Jenn! I am glad you found me. I always try to explain in the video and in the description under the video.. not sure if a lot of people know... on a laptop it says "show more" and on your phone it is just a down arrow on the right below the video. But I put silicone in my paint mixture. I have several videos where I show how I mix my paint and add silicone or OGX coconut milk hair serum in it. Then I pour what's in my cup into the squeeze bottles where I can have the most control. Also under my videos, I usually list colors, etc and always have a link for products. Especially my Amazon recommendations link... it has the products that I use! Thanks for watching

Wow, Wow,Wow. This butterfly painting is chin dropping beautiful !!! I love it. !!! I've watched many videos and come to the conclusion that anybody with any talent at all can do a pour. Pick some complimenting colors, mix with flotron and water, layer into a cup and pour through something or just directily on the canvase and tip into the corners. Oh you do have to know when to stop when it looks good and not let it run off your canvase. It takes extra talent to paint an intential when you are doing controled pour. I saw another artist do some flowers and she too controlled her colors and the basic shape of her flowers. She actually did a reverse dip. She kept adding colors instill she was satisfied with her colors. Then she dipped several card stock papers into the left overs. At one point she scraped her colors into the center and added even more of her Color scheme and made a few more cards. They were all very beautiful. Of course I don't mean to say that pouring isn't an art form. I've watched you do some beautiful pours, but again this one takes knowledge of your subject and the ability to know how to achieve your goal.

So beautiful. I am a beginner with Acrylic Pours and I try to watch various artist to develop my own style, however, when I watch someone like you with so much talent, I find myself saying, "I'll never get that good, so why not just quit!" but enjoy it so much. I also seem to use so much paint when I just try to do a pour over. Nice to see your style which is awesome.

My view is to paint and just paint to be creative and make yourself happy. Go sparingly on the paint. If you dont like it, wipe off and start again. Practice practice and you will find your happy place@@

This is gorgeous! I haven't seen this technique in action before, so it was fun to watch the butterfly emerge. I haven't even started painting yet, but now I have another technique to play with. 😊 Thank you for this video & showing how you create your own magic.

@@SandraLetthank you! Yes, I can see the addictive nature. I tend to get that way with things that draw in my attention, from art modalities, to bodywork modalities and frequency therapy, to dance, martial arts & flow movement arts, to gardening and just about anything tactile. ;) I see something and I'm like, "oo, cool! I wanna try that!" I searched for a couple tutorials on how to decorate clear glass/acrylic ornaments with glitter & Mod Podge (which is what was suggested at Michael's, but didn't turn out how I wanted--didn't dry clear even though it was the gloss version!) and all these acrylic paint pouring videos popped up in my feed. Once you click on one, that's all you see after that, and I've spent a couple dozen hours at least in the past 3 weeks soaking up all sorts of knowledge. I have an artist friend I'm reaching out to right now, to see if he has any experience with flow painting, or can at least give me a hands on intro to working with acrylics at his studio. I'm itching to start! :D

Where do you live? I am sure there is someone in your local area... this is a world wide rage... there are hundreds of thousands of people doing this painting. Once you start... you kind of can't stop... But I am that way too... If I see something I like.. I can usually pick up on it and do it... But I have to be careful... because I can get distracted and go in SO many directions... lol... this form of art is very relaxing and therapeutic... I like that you really can't predict it

Adding the background was a good idea. I like the added dimension it gives the piece and it made the outer edges of the wings seem to feather a bit (at least I suspect that's what did it) and that's a cool effect. Thanks for the video!
