When Korea rose up to dominate League of Legends, it looked like Europe could be in for a long wait.
They were looking for the next big player, even as some of their best left for other regions. They were hoping for a sign that Korea was not invincible.
They found it, in a cocky, confident and carefree superstar. A player who rose the challenge the greatest forces in his game, then did it again, in his second position.
Europe found its future in Perkz. This is his story.

Perkz is actually the biggest villain in League pro history and I love it. He's Palpatine and Caps is Anakin. Caps was the chosen one, destined to destroy G2, and this worried Perkz so he intentionally let his weak G2 lose to iG in the semis of Worlds 2018 so iG would destroy Fnatic, leaving Caps to be wrought with nightmares about losing to Rookie. Then Perkz approached him and told him stories about Darth Febiven the Wise, a player powerful enough to beat Rookie, but who was ultimately destroyed by the up and coming EU mid superstar, himself, and promised to gift him the knowledge to beat Rookie if he simply joined the dark side and G2, so Caps did, and now Darth Perkz and his apprentice Darth Caps are on their campaign to rid the Pro League scene of all opposition.

History will remember perkz, what history should also remember is how disgustingly he was treated by the European fans at MSI 2016. He was a 17 year old kid getting death threats and hate online because G2 the org hadn’t matured enough to properly handle the backlash from fans. You really have to respect perkz for being able to keep his composure, put his head down and grind out years of poor results to eventually become Europe’s biggest name and most decorated player. 👏👏 UMA 👏👏FUCKING 👏👏 JAN 👏👏

I also remember 2017 when they were flamed, again, because they didn´t defeat SKT in MSI final and only got one game off them and didn´t get out of worlds group where they played against RNG and SSG who would later become world champions. They even had better bilance (3-3) than Fnatic in groups but since Fnatic made it out of their much easier group thanks to winning tiebraker and were praised for their comeback from 0-4, G2 were an easy target for disapointed european fans.

Sure there are player who achieved more, but Id remind you they also had insane teammates on his side, while Perkz spent his first two years playing with Trick and Expect, while Jackey played with TheShy and Rook1e. And sayin he hasnt achieved as much as Faker doesnt mean much because nobody comes even close to what Faker has achieved, not even JackeyLove. This doesnt mean players like Tian, JKL, DoinB etc. arent insane, they definately are. But I think PerkZ is definately very close, and he is by far the greatest western LoL player of all time

Night comes. Tossing... turning... sweat clings to his body. Doublelift dreams on. Throat dry and raw from gasping in his sleep, a weak cry escapes his lips; before him a face. Darkness envelops him, its embrace cold and chilling. Asleep, Rekkles tosses and turns in his bed. His mind is wracked with fear, confusion, something is coming but he knows not what. He can feel it now, a presence, looming, some powerful, something... new. He cries out in horror. Sobbing into his pillow Uzi is wracked by nightmares. Descruction, death, all that he knows being torn down and built anew. The meaning escapes him but he can feel it just out of reach, pressing against his mind like a familiar touch. Then suddenly before a name, a dread name. As one ADCs across the globe awake, though unaware all haunted by the same visions. Their bodies wroght with the pain of muscles cramping, teeth bared in a terrible snarl frozen in horror, and within them a deep, deep fear. He comes, he comes. UMA JAN.

Watching this and phenoix's story, u see both team has their own story and plot. One had dream of whole continent, another had his and his wife dream. One cheer another despair. And next year both comes with full force. I love esport. I enjoy the game and it's pro level plays.

This guy is pure talent and determination. Some guys live with their parents even if they are 30 and he was gone from home from such young age. He is working his ass off. And NEVER FORGET where he is coming from. He is coming from country that is lead by mafia and corruption. In Croatia if you have collage degree you are ZERO, you cant get job and you are left to die on streets. But he left school and went for gaming away from home. He got no future in his own country. Same country telling him to play football, cos esport isnt sport, to stop playing games and be real man. Still he gets on worlds stage wearing national flag. Everybody puts him down but his is always rising, going forward and being best that he can. For that i will always say just best things for him. He is not just winning when playing LOL he is winning living like a good human being every day. And haters.....just try ti survive in Croatia and than open your mouth!

I feel the burden that Perkz carried, through his G2 career, leading multiple rosters to multiple titles, in multiple roles, each with the same bright smile that shines through LEC. This final interview for the 2019 championship was devastating, it is on par with when Faker cried on screen.
