Stuff we use:
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

Some uploads ago, a tip was asking: what is their goal? What is their flaw? That's been such a huge tool for me from writing stories to making D&D characters, and these 2 are the flipside to that. Always learn something practical and clear on these uploads!

The first question just blew my mind. Because I am rewatching The Office for the gazillion time and it occurred to me that while the story and the scene are pretty realistic and real-simple-life like (which of course is the reason we all love it) but the characters are not that real, it even occurred to me that they are less realistic than in any other sitcom such as How I Met Your Mother (which was unexpected because it's not that customary to think that of such show). Because watching The Office by the 3rd or 4th season you find yourself thinking " Would Dwight (or Jim) that we know by now would do that?" But of course in the case of The Office it totally works because those are cumulative characters serving to mock idiosyncrasy of everyday life.

Certainly, Sir Jason's designing tips of character formation for story is the most practical, essential and complete guide, coming to know for the first time. The questionnaire is the best way. Immense thanks to both Mr.Jason and Film courage. Sometimes, suddenly, some heavenly tips appear from some interview. I watch daily FC as I eat daily.

My problem as a writer has been that I can make up great elements to a story, but I have no idea how to put them together. I'll come up with a great plot but no characters, a well-built universe but no plot, or great characters and _nothing for them to do._ And while I try--really try--to take those disparate parts and make a cohesive whole, but rarely are these separate parts compatible. Frankly, I'm shocked I ever wrote my last script at all.

@@Batflecks You know how people say it's not the gun, it's who's holding the gun? It's not religion. It's the people who twist religion to serve their evil designs for mankind. If you can't get around them to get to God then who's the bigger person, you or them? If they're standing between you and God, then who's closer to God, you or them? We enjoy our lives and we have peace of mind. Can you honestly say the same? If we're wrong, we get to nap out for eternity. If you're wrong, your eternity will not be restful! I never read follow-up comments, so save your hatred and mocking for someone else.
