So glad I saw this. I see so many youtubers suggesting the "ninja walk" bent over with knees flexed. This will ruin your back. Love the tip about moving too slow. Keep up the good work.

GREAT ADVICE. Add an extra grip even to the most basic gimbals and you will see a huge difference, I bought a dirt cheap hohem for my father in law (at 81 he still shooting video (and doing post) but the shakiness was getting bad) he added a 90° angled grip now he held the thing like a Sten sub machine gun form WWII and it work wonders

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PRODUCING CONTENT THAT OTHERS DONT EXPLAIN TO YOU. TRIED THIS OUT AND MADE MY FOOTAGE 10X MORE SMOOTH. I KNEW FROM THE START THE NINJA WALK WAS DEFINITELY NOT HEALTHY FOR THE BODY.

Great advice :) I walk with a straight back slightly bent legs and roll the heel to toe like this. I find that improving your physical strength and ability has a major role in achieving the best footage possible. I held weights and practiced similar movements that id be doing with the gimbal. I can now walk about roughly 9hrs constant give or take.

When walking like a ballet dancer, stretching out your legs and letting your toes touch the ground first, results in a very stable torso while walking up right. Use flexible/'barefoot' shoes to make this easy. I've had classical ballet lessons a long time ago and 'invented' this way of outside walking. Because feet are flexible, this also eliminates higher frequency vibrations in your spinal column. After some practice, in case you need it, to me this feels like a very natural & smooth way of walking.

Thanks for the video. I'm still not sure which is better, Briefcase Handle or Dual Grip. I used the Zhiyun Crane Plus for several years and the first thing I bought for it was the Dual Grip. It was very comfortable, but I have to admit, my back didn't thank me. Now I've bought a DJI RS3 and it's suggested that I use the Briefcase Handle. To be honest, the first thing I did was install the Dual Grip from Zhiyun, however I gave the Briefcase Handle a chance as well. I have to say that I have less back pain with it, but it still takes a long time to get used to it. In some situations it is much easier to work with it, for example for shooting from below if you don't want or don't have time to turn the gimbal upside down. One thing I don't understand in the video is that you have both grips installed. In terms of weight this is a no-go, especially if you have a bunch of other accessories installed and every gram counts. Also, the option to slow down the video is not suitable for all kinds of scenes, say if it's a conversational scene
