They look nice I really like that wood finish. I just got my Sennhiser HD58X headphones in today and they are amazing. So, I don't think I will be buying any new headphones for a while but it's good to see you covering headphones more. I will come back and check out more of these videos.

Great seeing you review this. I will place my experience with the Sivga SV021 here. To my ears the bass is a bit too boosted, mids are thin with a bump of shoutiness, and the treble is peaky. This tuning truthfully is not what I expected or wanted since I jumped the gun on some earlier reviews. For music this may not do well for people not knowing how their experience (may) become. Audio is extremely subjective so please take that last sentence with a grain of salt. Aside from the FR which can be mostly fixed with EQ... The detail is not bad, not amazing but not disappointing. Coming from much cheaper headphones you may notice more clearness and detail in most of your use cases. Soundstage is very good for a closed back headphone. Most of the sound will be in your head and you may get a decent number of out-of-head moments. Comfort is spectacular for the price. My only gripe is that I keep having to bend the band to make a proper seal for the back of my head/ears. Your experience will of course vary, even in the audio. Isolation is acceptable. My HD280 Pro blocks a considerable amount more but that's not going to be a deal breaker at all. It moderately muffles my keyboard noise and dampens my PC fan noise. No comment on build quality, we all can see that it's really good. Overall, my own personal rating is giving this Sivga SV021 a 6.5/10 without modifications. The modification I like to sometimes use is customized EQ to flatten the mids and reduce the treble. After EQ I find this to be a good all rounder. In my opinion I would give the SV021 a 9/10 after EQ, but keep in mind that my EQ settings are naturally closer to my own preference. I started using more EQ after using the SV021 more often for comfort reasons. With all of this in mind, I will say that if you're a potential buyer, please take some time to look at more reviews and glance at some FR graphs just to get an idea on how the headphone may sound. I believe this headphone will do well for action movies, non-fps gaming, and some genres of music that will not be negatively affected by the Sivga's tuning.

A warning for those reading this gibberish remember that sound is subjective and we all hear and perceive it differently with different tastes and needs. People like this guy love to talk technicalities and and "see" sound rather than hear it, with total disregard to how a given item compares to what the other options offer at the price point. Do not fall for the audiophoolery.

@@RumpelStiltskindarkone you are disregarding even more important things. Tuning is very important and the reason why I brought up the tuning was from my long term experience (a few months) the SV021's tuning felt very off to me. After looking at graphs (some people go apeshit when I bring this up. Graphs are to be used when someone needs to know how the frequencies generally change or when someone wants to know how other headphones are tuned, again this is general and not exact), it has come to my conclusion that this headphone will not be for everyone (and maybe not for most either) due to the more dramatic changes I see in the graphs and hear with my own ears. Graph lines are not perfect, but the SV021 does act weird in those areas. My intent is for passer-bys to know that they should look further into the Sivga's sound based on several (not one or two) reviews and some trusted measurements (only the FR is important) so they do not come down to my experience that they otherwise wouldn't want. I do not see why you are so upfront and blunted with your response to my opinion. It is painfully obvious that this is a subjective hobby. Technicalities and subjective experiences all have their place and I don't believe one person should only look on one side or the other. I know what I'm speaking of. Measurements are not everything, technicalities are not everything. One of my favorite headphones is the SHP9600 and some would say it measures poorly, and rightfully so in their opinion. Basically, I find the Sivga to be too bass boosted, mids are thin and shouty, and the treble is harsh. I came to this conclusion based on my experience with the reinforcement of graphs. I do not spend all my hours staring at graphs all day. I listen for at least 3 hours a day to music and I can constantly tell that the Sivga just isn't for me, not one bit as it's sounding like what I described to my ears. It is unreasonable for anyone to look at any FR graph and say their half baked thoughts just on the graph itself. From what I see, 95% subjective experience + 5% research is a decent ratio because the subjectivity will always outweigh technicalities and reviewer research. That's an oversimplification that won't work for everyone.

This headphone looks amazing and love what looks like oak wood, super sexy headphone 😎. I would buy this purely based on the looks and comfort. But I’m more a competitive sound signature person and prefer more highs than lows.

So for anyone who buys a pair of these my biggest con was the stock cable (it's really microphonic so when you move you hear it through the cable). Do yourself a favor and pick up a $20 dual 2.5mm cable off amazon or something. Also if you want to do some competitive gaming search out how to EQ and drop that bass about 4 - 4.5 db.
@Kihma.
@Kihma. 2 жыл бұрын
Bought it, returned it. Kinda agree with your review! (nice that you expand your reviews to headphones). But if it can help: the cable makes a very loud scratchy noise in the earcup when it touches something. And what made returned it was some harsh/sibilant sound it can produce, which I could not handle for a long time. So if you feel like your ears are sensitive, check the return policy before buying. Other than that, very good comfort except little warm over time. Used it directly on my PC with voicemeter banana for EQ. Sound is good, couldn't agree more with 11:12 though. The bass do not cover highs or anything, but this is a good music/story game headphone. Never listened March 14 from Drake like this before haha

Awesome! I have for long wanted to see this. 👍 More "normal" hifi headphones with singleplayer games. Maybe you could dabble with the Dolby app on Xbox too? Share what custom settings and presets you prefer for singleplayer games. Everyone always on about multi. I game with Sennheiser 599se and like it alot, but I tinker alot with the equalizer in the dolby app. I add some bass mostly. Again, would be cool to see what you like. 🙂

I guess you could call me audiophile, just don’t like the word, I just love listening my music and want the best sound possible. I have a home theatre set up with Dolby atmos and Polk s55 tower speakers and matching center/surrounds are Sonys and atmos speakers are sony as well. My subwoofer is a klipsh 10in sub but trying to upgrade to svs 12in and I would like 2 have 2 eventually but I don’t currently have room for 2 subs, I listen to mu speakers for music too. But when I want to critically listen to music I use my headphones and I have tones. My favorite are my audeze lcd x and my beyerdynamic dt 880 600ohms. I have a schiit asgard 3 headphone amp and schiit modious dac stack. I’ve heard headphones in the thousands of dollars that don’t have this nice of pads and quality build on ear cups and smooth metal. A very nice cable too, not stiff and cheap like I was suspecting. The sound is definitely v shaped with the mids a little recessed but there still detail, they are a very fun to listen too. I love the buttery warm bass it sounds great, the bass isn’t loose and floppy, it was nice and tight for me. Highs are a little more forward. It’s a v shape but it actually still sounds damn good and the bass isn’t so overpowering that you can’t here the mids. For what you get I still can’t believe the price, I love these bad boys

you're just not used to a high end sound signature. if your ear isn't shaken by overly boosted muddy bass you feel something is missing, and the increased detail is too much for you to handle. it took me a few weeks to get used to my first good headphones (DT770 80 ohm) as they seemed harsh and distorted in the bass at first but my brain was just confused and years later they are still in my top off all time even after acquiring much more expensive headphones. If you never get through the adjustment phase you'd probably be better off sticking with generic headsets with tons of "bass".
