@@donmakavelithuglife9058 i have never understood people that think that classic is for new players....there is far more hand-holding in retail, and it's far more forgiving. the only sort of "newbie appeal" classic has is that it doesn't have the baggage of 7 or 10 or however many xpacs have come and gone. For most people, it's the opposite, they play classic for the nostalgia and more thought out mechanics, and in my case, more balanced leveling

Also he never used frost ward while running away, he was wasting globals and mana on mana shield which doesn't do shit against frost damage.

How to cluster them correctly and safely, how to if you have to move past them in range of their attacks do it as safe as possible. How to move efficiently to maximise damage output.

Even if he was drunk, high, didn't sleep for one week straight - that just doesn't happen to someone who reached 60. At the very least he should have realized his mistake after the first frostbolt, but he just kept going, like he never has seen that happen. That was crazy. But someone will be happy to receive another donation for leveling his next character, I suppose.

in classic (and BC too I guess), does that immune rule apply to all elementals? Meaning air and earth elementals are immune to nature damage, arcane elementals are immune to arcane... ? Also, are demons (at least the most powerful ones) immune to fire magic, resistant to shadow magic and weak to Holy Light damage too? And are fire elementals and demons immune or not to Chaos bolt ? (which is technically NOT fire but FEL/CHAOS damage?). Are Undead NPCs not immune but highly resistant to shadow damage, resistant to frost damage and weak to fire magic and Holy Light damage ? Are elven mobs (especially Blood Elves NPCs in Azshara) highly resistant to arcane damage and maybe also to magic damage in general ? As you can see, there are a lot of combinations for these weakness/resistance/immunity "Pokemon battle" rules (that come from RPG games older than WoW like D&D and Pokemon, I guess) and I understand how some players could get easily confused at these rules, especially if they are new players or retail players 😅 but yeah, frost mages not doing any damage to water elementals should be a given and a very well known fact for every mage.

The frost elementals don't deal physical damage but frost damage with their melee attacks, so mana shield would have done nothing. He should have used Frost Ward in stead.

Also didn't see any auras either. Seems almost intentional, and the flash of lights were just cast so he couldn't imidiately get called out on it is what it looked like to me.

​@@tevani1I am almost certain, that the aura problem is normal, since it has 10 range less than the heals and since the tank is keeping the boss outside the aura range (because of the aura that HE has), the tank naturally doesn't receive it. That would even lend an explanation to the retribution aura being active, to add a little damage to the skeleton spawn (even though it is still a bad choice in my oppinion). What I really can't explain at all are two things. 1) The missing heal. The numbers of damage/heal taken pops up on the warriors character portrait, so it is easy to see how often and how much heal he receives. There rarely even appears a number, meaning that the paladin rarely casts a heal on him in the first place. And when a heal comes in the numbers are low, meaning he only uses small heals. Flash of Light has a 1.5 sec cast time, so if he would spam small heals we would see that, but that doesn't happen. Holy Light takes 2.5 sec to cast and heals four digits, which we also don't see happening, even as the tank is almost dead and has no mortal strike debuff - only little heals, which doesn't make any sense. 2) No buffs from the paladin. That's unacceptable. There really is no justification here. Plus the warlock not doing any damage to the boss. Not even applying dots. It makes me think, there must be a backstory to it, that they really wanted to see the warrior dead for some reason. Not healing, not doing damage, immediately ready to leave the group just as he died, like they already had their mouse on the button and were just waiting for the warrior to die, to make it not even more obvious. They performed at maybe 10% to 20% activity. I really would love to see a Recount Addon statistic, of abilities used. How many heals did the paladin cast and which spells did he use? Same for the warlock. If I had to guess, the paladin maybe cast 10x flash of light at most and only maybe 5 of them on the tank during the whole minute, in which he could have cast ... 1.5 sec cast time / 60 sec fight = 40 x Flash of Light, if he had brain-afk spammed little heals, basically. Not sure how much one cast heals, but let's also add that there is the 50% mortal strike heal reduce from time to time... say +300 hp. 40 heals x 300 hp = 12k healing. 12k healing / 60 sec = 200 hps. Numbers are very vague in in favour of the paladin, but a healer with 200 hps in strath... Never..... No way that guy was serious in any way.

So I am not too familiar with Rivendare in classic, but doesn't his aura thing do dmg based on distance or something? Badically, shouldn't the paladin atleast try and get as close to the tank he could to make sure the tank get the aura, swap to devotion aura so the tank have more armor? I mean even if he is within range to take the damage from Rivendare's aura thing, shouldn't they be able to toss a flash of light between holy lights on tank as needed? And yesh I noticed the lock didn't do much if anything aswell. But I still keft that clip thinking pretty much what I commented with, thinking that this was intentional because there's no way a healer would intentionally need to cancel a cast mid cast unless they can get off another cast faster in that time. Which for a paladin I don't think would be the case, though I guess it depends on the gcd. It's just all of it seemed very off, though it's weird it went all the way to Rivendare at the same time. Idk the whole clip was just really weird to me.

He did, the healer got banned from the server discord after this clip got posted, after this fight he went into another dungeon and killed his own char along with another guy. He isnt playing anymore from what I know.

Kungen raids play with no worldbuffs as a rule (for increased challenge).

People clear those raids without deaths almost naked... it's 99% skill issue

We've seen a literal in-game roach be affected by an aoe debuff and run and aggro a pack of drakonids in UBRS.

@@mggirard13 I once died to a frog critter hitting me for one damage. I had aggro'd it with piercing howl while my last stand was up and didn't know they were the only critter that attacks instead of running away. Thankfully it happened on non-HC, so I just laughed it off. I'd probably have been pissed to lose a HC character that way though.

No he wasn't. Those are two different names. He just didn't reset the damage meter. The paladin wasn't even near the boss. He just griefed, killing the warrior by only healing with 10% capacity.

You could have a low level healer because heals don't miss. If heals don't miss... then heals dont miss.

They get a kick out of giving it away as they do it, to see how far they can go and still get away with it.

That's an advice for beginners, ok, but there are quite a few elite quests and mobs you can solo with most classes. Especially Hunter, Mage and Warlock if the mob can be slowed, frozen or feared.
