for a long time I thought I had blackheads and tried extracting them... but nothing would come out instead of oil. I recently realised that these are sebaceous filaments... now I don't do anything... when the tip of my nose gets oily, I dab it with tissue and chill

As someone with eczema you still have to use heavy creams or oils or ointments for your type of dry skin, but do still cleanse your face properly everyday even double cleanse if you must then go about your regular skincare routine like serums, mask, etc. Then your creams and sunscreen or sunblock last.

Hi! I have the same skin type, i used to have them as a teen but just to let u it will clear up as u get older. Although i would always suggest not to pop ur acne, u will damage ur skin. There are some tips that can help. Gel based products - any makeup or general product. Mild cleansers - Plum Facial Cleanser Aloe Veera Gel for a hydrating overnight mask Lacto Calamine - to act as a lotion. Almond Oil for vitamin E. Warning - only to be done when your acne is not on a severe level. Please visit a dermatologist for an official diagnosis. And do not attempt exfoliating if that is the case so. Use Besan with curd with a bit of tumeric as a exfoliator only 1 a week. 2 at max. Use chikni mitti as a cooling mask after that. Briefing - - What u just need to keep in mind is that u just need to take care of the excess sebum and that is it. And provide appropriate moisture to the skin. And for that u can go for mild face cleansers. Plum Facial cleansers would be helpful. But the most important tip is to - Always use gel products. - Gel based products are your besties. If you want to use lotion then Lacto calamine (the purple bottle) would be good. It is a suggestion to keep cream based products at bay, creams are generally suitable for dry skins. So that's that. Although, our skin also need moisture so Lacto calamine are good for all year around, u can also use this for winters. If that doesn't suit you then you go for something like Nivea or ponds cream will be helpful during winters season. If u feel patchy or stretched skin during the approaching winter as we do, then go for lacto lotions as I mentioned above. - Exfoliating scrub should be used only 1 time in a week, 1-2 a week is a max, u see doing that a lot will scrub off the skim and leave our pores open will be irritate the skin and this leading to more problems like sebum build up to protect the skin leading to more acne. - Use almond oil for face just once, as you use Aloe Veera for a daily use at night. The vitamin E will help your skin and provide ample oil to the skin. You can wash it off in the morning. You can do this at night on an alternative days as you see fit. But Aloe Veera gel as a night mask is a wonderful thing to do. It will act as a hyderating mask. - Try to keep your scalp clean, yes, the oil from head can also irritate your skin as well. Drinking water is a huge one. - For makeup, use liquid foundations, less is always enough, always use a just enough damp sponge to pat your foundation in your skin, always wash it off. - Pay attention to any irritation on the skin. Visit Dermatologist for an official diagnosis. As stated above. Hope this helps. Have a good one!

I followed her advice and boom my blackheads Whiteheads sebaceous filaments are gone. What I did? Since I also have lots of after acne hyperpigmentation I go very simple Morning : Wash face + Sunscreen or BB cream (But sometimes I do apply Vitamin C , Alpha Arbutin and Niaciamide serum from Minamalist when I have free time) Night : face wash + Peeling solution (Earlier Pilgrim now Ordinary || Only use once a week) + Toner (The mom cos Vitamin C and Niaciamide toner || just recently started using toners and this really really really helped with my open pores, now they are almost non existent, earlier I use to skip this but now I am glad I started using toner) + Vitamin C 10% serum + Alpha Arbutin 2% serum + Niaciamide 10% serum (All the serums are from minamalist and they are boom) + Finally a light aloe vera gel as moisturizer. My texture has improved. Now I don't face any acne, whiteheads, blackheads or Sebaceous Filaments. My only problem is hyperpigmentation from suntan and acne and dark circles. Tarini I am your big fan can you plz help me with my hyperpigmentation and dark circles? Should I incorporate retinol from minamalist?
