I am from Lancashire, born in Lytham St.Annes and Alison is from the Wirral, lived in Meols before moving to Australia. My parents were from Yorkshire and Lancashire (border). Dad's from Hebden Bridge and Mum was from Todmorden. Always good to catch up with fellow Brits from the same neck of the woods, maybe we'll bump into each other on a cruise someday. Ovation and Royal are on our list but we need to try to book up our Carnival credits first. Panama Canal is definitely one we'll be looking at in the future. Hi Mr Ramyon and greetings back to you from Forest Lake, Queensland. Love New Zealand but it's been a few years since we were there. If a New Zealand cruise comes up at the right price and the right time though, we'll be on it. You'll certainly notice a difference in the climate between NZ and Brisbane in November. Since making that video we have booked the inaugural journey on the Carnival Luminosa on 6/11 from Brisbane so we are looking forward to that. Hi Bindi Lou. We did go to the Black Circus but, to be honest, it wasn't to our taste. The venue is lovely and we listened to a couple of concerts there and went to a couple of trivia sessions but the actual pay for show was very ordinary considering you have to pay for it. Would definitely make us think twice about paying for a show there again.

Quantum looks amazing and we can't wait for that trip, especially as it's New Year. Sounds like you also have some trips booked up. We hope that you enjoy all of them.

Hi again. We filmed this before the itinerary was released this last week. First cruise 6th November. We would have loved to have been on that but, unfortunately, have other commitments at that time. Mixed feelings about the Luminosa to be honest from the reviews we've seen but we have a lot of credits so we'll put any pre-judgement aside. At the end of the day cruising is just fantastic and a lot of the time it's about the people you meet and the experience you have.

Hi Sharon. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. We have visited both of these ports before and done a few things. Airlie Beach is a little short on things to do that aren't water related but there is a lovely lagoon pool and may be some market stalls depending on the day. What we are considering doing at Airlie Beach this time is the Crocodile Safari which has some really great reviews. Cairns there is plenty to do. Recommendations would be reef trip, Kuranda train and Skyrail, Hartleys Crocodile Adventure or hop on a bus to Port Douglas. There is also a rooftop rainforest on top of the casino that is worth a visit. We have done an All Terrain bike ride and white water rafting which were fantastic but I can't see them on the shore tours this time. What we may do in Cairns is the Wild River tube ride if the weather is looking OK. We are about to book Carnival for Easter 2023 and NYE 2023 so we will be doing some videos from then too. Please ask us if there is anything else you would like to know or if there is something specific that you would like us to include in the videos. You didn't say when you are cruising or thinking of cruising but we hope you have a fantastic time.

Hi Debbie. Thanks for dropping by. We have just returned from the P&O Pacific Encounter and both the P&O and Princess ships served non-alcoholic beer. Unfortunately we did not come across any non-alcoholic wine or spirits which Ali would have enjoyed too. We are on the Carnival Luminosa in a few weeks and will try to report back on that ship about whether they do.

Hi Debbie. I was just going through some of the P&O menus as trying to set up a website and I have come across a wine list that contains 8 different non-alcoholic wines, all Lindemans. Looks like they may only be available by the bottle and the prices are $32 or $34 for a bottle.

@@robandalicruisetravel Hi Rob and Ali, thanks for really investigating this as I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to have a non alcoholic preference other than beer or soft drink. That certainly is a huge markup when you consider that most of the non alcoholic wines sell for between $10 - $15 a bottle. If it's Lindeman's Early Harvest range that is a low alcoholic wine not a non alcoholic wine. Lindemans do have a couple of non alcoholic wines but not a great range. Once again many thanks. Debbie

Hi Sandra, Current protocol is RAT 24 hours before boarding or PCR 3 days before. We are doing RAT which, under recent changes needs to be photographed with a negative result next to a government issued ID e.g. driving license and some verification of the date and time, we are using a mobile phone for that.
