idk a good portion of those collectors would just be copy cats potentially cause they dont watch any older movies or have zero interest. Depends. Some people dont watch anything unless its in theaters or on hulu/netflix/peacock anymore

I go to the Retro Games Plus in Orange Connecticut whenever I'm back in my hometown. I used to find lots of great games, but now it's really been picked through. This location looks amazing.

Vhs is still flying a little under the radar. I never imagined it having a resurgence but of course that was before I started collecting with my husband and really getting into it. Good haul and fun retro store at the first too

I can't bring myself to sell anything, so I'd have probably kept the lot! Although I do love VHS! And its actually very good to watch for standard definition only content on a CRT, since the quality can be better than when its upscaled!

I love what you guys do here. I still scoop VHS, Beta tapes, Laserdisc, all that. I always look for specific labels. Vestron video, Cannon media, WB, Paramount. I love hunting for this stuff, it's fun.

My buddy got me into vhs collecting back around 2013. Nothing more exciting than cleaning out an old vhs rental store when theyd decide to close down. Just full of the best stuff. Im at around 2k vhs now but ive been thinning the vhs all the time and just using that to buy more games.

Glad you got those VHS for collections. Vast majority are less than $10, a few handful singles are maybe $18-20 each. TMNT, McGee, and a few others are worth a bit more.

I'm not too big on VHS but I bought close to 2000 VHS tapes for $20 unseen last year an still have close to a 1000 left. There was a few good ones in there but like you said I sell VHS mostly for 50 cents each at my buddies retro store. Old cartoons, just weird, and horror always brings the money. Out of the lot my favorite I found was Brink! lol

Do u happen to know what the thing was called that Ricky found that was like a stop motion cartoon thing? Riff tried to put the camera up to it but u couldn't see through the view finder. Anyways i had one of those when i was a kid! I had like a mickey mouse n Donald duck cartoon with it n they were in a haunted house r something. So much nostalgia with that thing! Ive been finding some tapes with a bit of white mold/moisture inside the tapes on the reels, can clean them off without opening the tape by rewinding/fast forwarding the tape back to front.....but do it in a junk vcr otherwise itll dirty the unit up (unless you know how to clean it then its not a big deal). Ive been buying a ton of tapes i cant help myself either, alot of that stuff you cannot get anymore even on streaming services to watch. Where you going to buy it at best buy? NADA ebay.

Picked up a sealed copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sealed for $1.00! Been collecting tapes for a few years now. Don’t forget to get your vhs players as well, especially with hdmi out. Picked up a few of those for about $5.00!
