We've had a couple combat-focused spellslinger commanders recently with Balmor on the lower power side and Narset Enlightened Exile on the breaking out a calculator end.

Because it would have given itself two instances of prowess, since prowess stacks with itself.

@@rawrgawr1492 He means they could've removed both the prowess keyword from Bria and "All other creatures you control have prowess" and just replaced it with "All creatures you control have prowess." Which is what Narset, Enlightened Exile has as her card text.

Oh wow, a keyword that stacks! That's insane. Does each individual cast off a storm trigger Prowess? If so, that's gonna be insane. One good storm trigger makes all of your creatures beefy and unnlockable. Definitely gonna be picking this up.

Nowhere that I can see. WPN doesn't make any mention at all, the card doesn't say, and the only place that even mentions it apart from these guys' social media is the wiki page for the starter kit, which has no citation.

I need Byrke for my Flicker deck. A +1/+1 counter theme thanks to Cathar's Crusade and Champion of Lambholt, with Flicker and swarm backing it up, and now a creature that not only gives more counters on ETB, but also doubles counters on attack? Just Cathar's Crusade, Champion of Lambholt, and Byrke is OP. Get out Crusade, bring out the Champion, he gets a counter, Byrke enters, giving both of them a counter from Crusade, targeting himself and Champion with his own ability, and Champion gives himself another counter, making Champion already a 5/5 that can't be blocked by anything weaker, attack and it jumps up to a 9/9 that can't be blocked by anything weaker. Even without Cathar's Crusade, just CoL out and bringing in Byrke makes Lambholt a 3/3 before attacking and a 5/5 after attacking, which is still amazing when it can't be blocked by smaller stuff. Yeah, a bit expensive on mana, but Green is great at ramping, so that's not too bad, and even if it takes a bit to fully set up, that just gives more time for Champion of Lambholt to get bigger before Byrke comes out for the attack trigger.

Hah, quite literally the exact same thought for me. He's probably going to be the biggest card in that deck, and fits nicely as a curve topper to just end a game there. Out of curiosity, do you only ever cast your commander after you have a +1/+1 engine fully constructed, and normally win the game that turn, or the turn after?

@@Crawver It depends who I'm playing with. In my main group we play pretty casually with Power 7 decks. If I'm playing Shalai and Halar there I drop my commander early to give a way to deal with the exponential damage output (I'm also running only one infinite combo with Red Terror). But if I want to close out the game, I cast them the second time after I have the engine going. Also, if I play with my more competitive group, I wait till I'm able to steamroll. +1/+1 Counters are strong even without the commander

So what I’m getting is Bloomburrow is a plain where various animals pratice magic and the like with various groups and factions having there own cultures and throw in some more wacky characters to breath more life into this plain. In other words…It’s mtg but everyone is a furry basically. I once saw a picture of a card in this set. It was an alternate art of a Jace card as a fox.

It'll be roughly $20 and these starter decks have always been printed to demand. At worse if Bria becomes a CEDH commander (I still think Veyran is significantly better) shell be like $5 - $10. The other leaders not very good and these decks are most likely just gonna be bulk.

Bria is broken af. Pump AND unblockable? Build up a board state, play commander, play a bunch of instants and sorceries and just win. So dumb. Building that is essentially a self own, saying, "im dumb and am incapable of building a deck."

If they are start kit exclusive, I say good screw you commander players, they don't make precons any more because of you. These starter kits are all the closest thing we get to a standard 60 card precon any more, and it's blister wrapped so we don't even get little cardboard boxes to put decks in. Of course, I don't like it being exclusive to the starter kit if true, because that's 20 dollars per copy if you want one of those cards, and I have other fun ideas for the counter doubling bunny.
