Great video, I like this style, keep it coming Alex. I’ve always used Action2 (I had three) but after getting the O3 I sold 2 of them and the one I still have is always in the backpack. Truth is, I learned that (for Freestyle) I can live without audio and no motion blur, if that means flying with 600Gr builds (only Kiss Ultra of course😉) without 80gr on pitch. Also, O3 has better dynamic range and I can overexpose always a little without loosing too much of the sky (she can handle it) and, of course, O3 has less details since I fly 2.7k 120fps 4:3 wide, but again it’s a compromise and I’m fine with that. PS if you want to squeeze the O3 use D-Cinelog, 10bit, detail -2 and NR -2 and locked exposure usually overexposed by 1 stop roughly, that’s what I’m using in all the videos in my channel.

The tower flyby was unreal. At that speed flying past yourself…. Just awesome.😮

Why not just use a DJI O3?

03 and Action2 are very similar in sensor and color. Just record on the air unit. Try 2.7k 120 with the shutter locked to 120, auto iso capped, d cinelike for 10 bit color then use a mavic d-cinelike lut in resolve to color correct. I like to record 0.3-0.7 stops over exposed as well to retain the shadows then bring the highlights down in post. Might be a little more work putting on an nd filter to the 03 and doing post production but it's worth it for the weight savings.

Yes ! Light is the way, it just feels better overall, you have more time to do tricks close to the ground. Some people don't like how floaty it is, but it's just a matter of picking the right props. Still not a fan of the extra large fov, the regular "superview" fov fits your flying style better, but that's subjectiv ; )

You're flying is amazing as always... the picture looks amazing however on PC and on my phone with highest settings It stutters through the frames.. I had same effect when I used 2.7k 30fps on my session 5.. I'm super green with setting but it almost makes me nauseous to watch

I switched to Action 2 a long time ago too. If you are using DaVinci Resolve, you can add a little bit of Color Boost and saturation, it really helps to get colours less flat/cold 👌From your experience, are 20x20 stacks as durable as 30x30 stacks ? I am especially concerned about ESCs, larger mosfets might be more durable/resilient, don't you think ?

Same here. I feel like my quad never flew as good as when I was flying the session 5. I just adaptes to the heavier quad, but I really loved it when it was 600gr.

I'm curious how O3 compares to the Action 2. It would be nice to see a rig with O3 that has no props in view but still keeps the CG close to center with a super squashed x toilet tank layout. At that point you don't need an Action 2 and can keep the AUW super low and still throw on a 2000mah 6s lipo if you want to target 650-700g auw with like 7 minutes of hard ripping. I feel like your frame almost accomplishes that. Perhaps extending the camera forward? You got my gears turning. Also 8:52 had me questioning reality :0

Been considering moving away from Go Pro, much to big and heavy now, A2 has seemed the obvious choice and this looks good, flying was super tight man loved it,

i just orderd your frame with the motors combo from RR on sale for $154 so im stoaked, i fly with no action camera so it will be really interesting to see how hard it rips with just a wasp link kit and 1200-1300mah packs.. i still need electronics and the link kit but all in good time, i tend to fly fast flowy lines a lot like you just without the reverse madness lol and i know your a stickler for a good flying quad so i thought i would be safe going for you frame for a lighter weight performance build

Why not just use the O3 air unit? That would be much lighter and i think it's also a little better camera overall.

I also prefer lighter kwads and I’ve being using A2 for some time, I love the quality, and weight, but there are some bad things, like, battery/internal storage, I have two A2 and switch between charging and dumping files, it works, but it is a pain in the ass. Another thing, after 7months flying them after a crash both my A2 lost focus internally, so I had to replace them, in general I am looking to only use the O3 to even a lighter kwad! And I really prefer the O3, the only thing is I smashed the camera so I am looking for a frame with a good protection and not much props in view! Love your rips keep 🤘🚀

Nice flying as always! Yeah we don't need full size gopros for freestyle, I chose the Action 2 as well, quality is OK and weight is a big win.
