Navy is the go-to colour in my wardrobe. Navy is classy & sophisticated and pairs so well with so many other colourations. I find it is the perfect alternative to black as it appears softer, less severe. Thank you!

I like all the ones you mentioned, although I am super selective of the shade of navy I wear with black. To me, it works best when the two are distinct enough that it doesn't look like I got dressed in the dark and made a mistake.

Thank you for all the great color combinations with navy! A few months ago I purged all my black clothes. At 67, black was zapping me of my energy and it was not a good color near my face anymore. I've always loved navy but had gotten away from it through the years because of the lack of availability in the U.S. for many years. During the 1990's and early 2000's navy was nowhere to be found. I'm over the moon now that navy appears to be in abundance. And, I'm also loving having chocolate brown in my wardrobe again.

Hello Gemma! Another great video. I love navy and have many pieces. It works with any season of the year. Navy and white for a summers day,navy and orange for a fun day. Navy and pink looks very demur and sweet so I have to be in that mood. Navy so much softer than black but just as elegant! You look amazing in every look❤

I'm so glad that you mentioned navy and green, it's a favourite of mine but I always remember that cruel classmate when I was very young that said "blue and green should never be seen!" and that prevented me from using those two colours together for a long time. You should wear more green. It’s lovely on you. My favorite combination for spring is grass green with navy. I also love lavender with sage green and navy. My favorite for fall is a camel blazer and matching cashmere top with navy trousers and a luggage brown bag. So elegant.

Navy and gold are quite popular in the US. We see it in everything from fashion to home decor. As is green and navy. I’ve purchased several navy and green items from Talbots and receive many compliments. The navy color of the sea where I live with the beautiful green of the landscape is simply stunning. I like navy & lime, but tend to wear it with rust the most. I'm very pale so white is a no for me. Lilac looks great with stone/pale sand by the way. Would love to see an olive colour play - it's my fave colour, with burnt orange a close second.

I desperatly needed some clothing for a job interview and the office and bought some nice navy trousers, but then realized I had no idea what to wear with them. This is super helpfull! All I knew was that black and navy look terrible and that if I wear white on top it throws of my proportions, so I was out of ideas. I have a nice green top that will work great and will see if the navy top I have works.

I love your outfit idea videos - they have given me so many ideas about how to use what I have in different ways. I love that you use classic basics which I already have (or something similar) or give me an idea that would be a good timeless and versatile piece to add to my wardrobe. I’m definitely not a trend person, and so many of the fashion blogs and videos out there are based on trends, so I’m glad I found you. It’s hard to find a color navy doesn’t look good with - it’s such a lovely color that can go from dressy to casual so easily. I love black but I think the starkness of it makes it a bit less versatile than navy. I actually don’t think black goes with everything - I think navy deserves that distinction more. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I’m not a pastel person myself, so all of the other color combinations I loved. If I was to pick a favorite, I think the navy and burgundy is exceptionally beautiful. I recently ordered a navy satin button down blouse like the one you featured - thinking it would be lovely with dark jeans. I never thought to pair it with black jeans like you suggested, but I will have to try because the pic you shared looks gorgeous!

I’ve always worn navy, it’s never wrong. Even now that I’m older and my hair is now steel gray, it still works. My favorite shoes are always navy loafers as I am a jeans and white shirt gal still. I have a lovely structured navy handbag that is absolutely classic. I have two lightweight navy knit blazers that pull any outfit together. Just bought a knee length navy/green plaid knit sweater jacket. It’ll look terrific come autumn. I’m in Alabama, USA….our winters are not very long or usually very cold, I rarely wear my navy cashmere A line winter coat. If you’re unsure of adding color to a navy dress or trousers, a pure white button up shirt or a soft cream sweater will never steer you wrong. Jewelry, a good handbag, and fabulous shoes will take you anywhere. 👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent video! Thank you for the ideas that help us shop our closets. A couple of years ago when dark wash denim was in stores, I got a pair of Indigo (navy) jeans and a dark denim jacket. At the time I was thinking they would be versatile, but I couldn't imagine how often I would wear them and how useful. Now I have some new ideas of what to pair with them and how to style them. I just discovered your channel and I really liked this video! The lilac shirt and navy blazer look great! I have a lot of navy in my wardrobe and like to pair it with white, grey and brown (that's my hair colour anyway), but also pink. I'm not a fan of mustard yellow, so I don't own anything in that colour. I have a burgundy t-shirt that I mostly wear with jeans and one red top that I sometimes wear with navy trousers and blazer. As for navy and black, I agree that it's somewhat difficult. The best way I found was with a black-and-white pattern. ;)

That’s what I’m wearing today, my khaki green silk cargos, a white top and my navy blazer! It’s finally blazer weather here in California, well almost, I always jump the gun a bit because I love autumn, winter and spring layering. I always get the fashion blues in our scorching summers, they’re more about getting through the heat than anything else, like during the heat wave you had in England this last summer.

Oh yes, I love all of these looks! The lilac and navy was a fresh surprise and it looks great on you. I'll have to try that. I've also caught on to the black dress with a navy coat over top. It's a cool wintery look
