People don’t give donkeys enough credit. They are intelligent and can be quite loving. I love their mischievous side though! Thank you for caring for them and accepting them just as they are💕💕

I think Ronnie and Steve are masters of psychology. They misbehave until Dad gives them the snuggles they desire. Then they smirk when they look into the camera, as if to say, "Who trains whom?!?"

Donkeys saved my life. They are incredibly affectionate animals. I would visit a donkey sanctuary every weekend and the owners eventually got to know me. I started to volunteer there and it became the best therapy for me...and for the donkeys. The owners are a dedicated, hard working couple and took in donkeys that were terribly neglected. Many of them were miniature donkeys. I knew nothing about taking care of them and never worked at any sanctuary. I learned they are very affectionate, loving, sweet, loyal, protective and SMART animals. I would bring a portable CD player and play all kinds of music for them while I brushed them. They ran over to me every day I came. I spent hours playing with them. I was able to teach them how to fetch and bring back toys. I was able to teach them to lie down and be gentle with new donkeys that came in. They are very smart and can easily learn how to socialize and love human interaction. Their cheeky nature is quirky, sweet and laughable.

I watch the Jacobs Ridge Animal Sanctuary videos on a regular basis and love the donkey chats. I always get a kick out of their antics.

Jacobs Ridge have their own You Tube channel and they really deserve all the YOU TUBE love so if you can visit them you'll find more videos of Steve and Ronnie's antics. I'm not associated to this sanctuary, I'm just a huge huge fan of theirs.

Julian and Rachel of Jacob's Ridge are wonderful folk, they work so hard at the sanctuary and still manage to keep a strong sense of humour. I have followed them on YT for about 4 years and adore the tribe of 4-legged scallywags that form part of their family. Each has a distinct personality.

Dodo videos never fail to bring a smile and a laugh. The antics of Steve and Ronnie surely gave me a chuckle. Naughty boys!
