I'm not actually a crazy ex, but my ex (I broke up with HIM.... which makes this even more hilarious to me) sure was telling our friends I was. We dated for like a year in high school. I was pretty much living with him and his family at that time. He raced down at the local track, and being the good girlfriend I was, I of course supported him. I wore his merch, I helped in the pit, I helped him work on his car (including decaling, which I got massive blisters from taking some off), I was at every race (including the one on PROM night.... so I missed that). One night him and his dad were working on the car, and we had had plans to go to the movies. He blew me off. I was a little disappointed and I barely said a word, only that I really wanted to go, and something about taking his younger brother. His dad BLEW THE HECK UP at me. Normally (obviously, since I was pretty much living there) we had a great relationship. Loved his whole family. I cried, and instead of going home, I went down to my ex's room. Then I was like f this crap. I didn't do anything wrong, his dad just told me I don't support him, plus it was just now awkward as crap.... there were a few other things going on as well... like the fact that my ex had a thing for my friend. One winter at the sledding hill, he was wrestling with her in the snow and called her the pet name he had for me (and this was after he had already told me he "used" to like her, but it was clear he still did). So yeah. I broke up with him, and I never thought about him again. Until years later when one of our mutual friends told me that my ex said I was stalking him and that it got so bad that he had to move (I ended up moving to a mobile home park with my then boyfriend, and apparently my ex was also living there). I had NO IDEA he was living there. I'd never seen or thought about him since I left. If anything, he was stalking me, knowing everywhere I was. I just can't believe all the lies he was telling our friends, and NO ONE EVEN TOLD ME FOR YEARS. I don't talk to them, either, anymore.

Spending years & years with an abusive narcissist that flips out like this every time you try to end it or anytime you say hello to another man or don't do exactly what they want you to do, can turn YOU into the crazy girlfriend/ex. Definitely did with me a few times.

Here's a crazy ex-boyfriend story for you I dated someone with severe mental health issues he was off his meds and I brought up something he really didn't like now you have to understand at this point I have learned to keep my head down and not to argue because it could get scary but it was that kind of toxic obsessive relationship where I thought I couldn't live without him even if it was scary I always came back so anyway we were not arguing by any means I was not yelling at him I just tried to calmly and politely bring up something and he didn't want to hear he walked into the other room for a few minutes and came back and I noticed there was blood on his shorts I asked him what happened apparently he stabbed himself in the leg with his pocket knife so that he wouldn't hurt me instead... he actually thought he had done something chivalrous too like he protected me... UM BITCH WHAT? I was 17 but at least I had enough sense to get the hell out

I’ve never been the crazy ex but I’ve had one. We broke up over religion cuz he wanted me to be Catholic so his mom would approve of me, I asked him if he would convert to my religion if he was in my situation and he basically said hell no, so I said so then you know my response to your request right? We broke up then and there but attempted the whole “still friends” thing for a couple days, that didn’t last long. Anyways after like a week I started to realize how toxic the relationship had been and began to start seeing things from an outside perspective which made me glad to done with it. Apparently he has the opposite reaction to the breakup, like really opposite. Soon after the breakup I began to get drunk texted every night with poetry and spiels about how he still loved me and he was sorry for anything he’d done to hurt me and all that, telling me he wanted me back, he began to practically beg over text and in person, and it took around 8 or so months for it to end. During that 8 months he 1.) changed his college major to mine, 2.) converted to my religion, 3.) ignored the fact that I had a new boyfriend, and 4.) wouldn’t accept “no” for an answer. Once I told him I wouldn’t even date him if he were the last man on earth and there was no chance we would ever get back together he basically dropped out of my religion (that I didn’t even really follow anymore at that point anyways) and he began dating only girls that looked like me according to our mutual friends, so I guess my looks were the only thing he valued 🤷 but yeah that was basically a year total of my life I’ll never get back because of the emotional trauma he put me through before, during, and after the breakup. Fun time… but now I’m married to the most kind and loving man on the planet that respects my boundaries, doesn’t verbally abuse me, and cares for me in every possible way while also being a funny dopey silly person who I adore and care for and love with all my heart. Things do get better 😊 anyways thanks for reading all that if you did, if you didn’t then TLDR; Didn’t realize I was in a toxic relationship till after it ended, I was glad it was over but he wasn’t so he took up 8 months of my life making me regret ever meeting him, but now I am in a happy relationship with the greatest husband ever!

So my crazy ex story goes as like this ( from 2010-2013) she was the first girl I ever dated so I thought she was the one and we dated for 3 years and all 3 was off and on like in the first year she went to her mom's for Christmas and supposedly got stuck even tho we were going to get her ( me and my mom) then on Valentine's day of the next year her mother apparently hacked her email where I had been sending her dirty pics and sent them to my father and through our whole relationship she was always cheating on me with all these dudes and I stayed and put up with it bc I thought if I let her do all this she'd eventually see that I was really the one for her... Not true when she left for the final time I was done with her and met the love of my life and we were together for 6 yrs til she lost her battle to cancer and then here comes the ex again to try and work her way back into my life and for a while I just needed someone to talk to so I'd talked to her for a while but not anymore I don't need her toxic ass in my life anymore

He went "let this be the 1st and last time you wear a skirt" took me completely off guard and I was in shock. I stared at him for a sec and my reply was "let this be the 1st and last time you try to tell me what to wear". He looked even more shocked, he never expected it. I was 14 btw, he was 17. This man never, ever, tried to tell me what to wear or what to do. Ever. We've been together for 16+ years and our marriage is pretty amazing. You might say "that's nothing serious" and yes, you'll be 100% correct BUT do you know how those DA/DV cases start? You know, the ones where the man(usually, not always) beats their partner to a pulp? Like this, with small things, testing boundaries, slowly by slowly until they see they can control you in every aspect. Address this behavior on the spot! That's my best advice to anyone.

I once got dumped over text while I was in class with no explanation given. He'd told me he loved me the day before. I went full crazy ex on this guy. So he was the type who was really baby crazy, super pro life, desperately wanted to be a dad. So I waited until I had my next period. Then I waited one more week and texted him that I was late. Another week or so later I sent him a picture of a positive test. A few weeks after that I let him know I fixed the problem, he was crushed. (Also on later stalking I discovered that he got engaged a month after dumping me so I'm 99% sure that I was his side hoe, so he deserved everything he got)

That chick destroying the artwork, yea we need more context from both sides. Like I had rings my exes gave me, I kept them for years. I didn't wear them but kept them out of sentimental value. Got rid of them recently because that sentimentality dissipated & my taste in jewelry changed so I knew I wasn't going to wear them. My mom still has her wedding ring from her ex husband & still wears it. She didn't keep it because she still harbored feelings for him, she kept the ring because she likes tricolored jewelry lol. Dad knows, dad doesn't care. Because sometimes, jewelry is JUST jewelry. Why should a painting or a ring from the past destroy a present relationship? My ex had a lock necklace from his ex, he never wore it, he kept it in a junk drawer. Didn't bother me in the slightest because I, too, had jewelry from past exes.

i went through a lot of blackmail and a lot of entrapment where they would threaten suicide or self harm had i tried to leave. one of my exes i had before the relationship i am in now, he basically made my world so small. i couldnt talk to people i couldnt play video games, i couldnt go places, it was all to a point i couldnt do anything without him watching me and being there. i lost a lot of friends, i was isolated so badly that i hated him but he kept manipulating me. the final straw though was when i took a break from him he harassed my mom. an older ex i had to call police on because he sexually harassed me and showed me his body and parts after HE BROKE UP WITH ME i wasnt accepting him back and he threatened me, threatened to kill himself, and all kinds of crap. its a good thing he showed me where he was stashing his drugs and that he was a dealer(note it was just weed which i dont see as a drug but where he lives its illegal). it made getting him arrested easy. oh. he also had an illegal fire arm. all and all he was an idiot. those are the only ones i will say as my past is to riddled with trauma to go any further, i will say though i am in a very loving long distance relationship now. going to move in with him soon, he and i stayed with eachother a few months ago and he is exactly the same as he is online. he is the sweetest and most loving man i have ever met. so despite my past i set aside my fear and gave a relationship with him a chance and i dont regret a single moment of it Edit note: the ex that i sent the police on, the one i reported him to already new who he was as he arrested him in the past for waiting for an 11 year old. he apparently was also a pedo. i found that out and was so... not surprised

I know I wasn't the crazy one here but this is the only story I have so far. my ex was emotionally manipulative and boarder line mentally and emotionally abusive and always made me responsible for their well being instead of getting help I stayed for a year because we where friends before our relationship and I genuinely cared for their well being which is the only reason I stayed for the whole year, towards the end they knew I was going to break up with them because I had expressed how unhappy I was multiple times, they would try for a week max sometimes less and then go back to the same behavior of treating me like a trophy for a shelf and only being "available" when they where emotionally unstable. I became more an more vocal about how unhappy I was and when they noticed I was completely done they went MIA for 2 months as a way to "avoid me breaking up with them" realistically I had been done over 6 months ago but I was genuinely concerned for their mental health, I have my own mental health issues so I know how hard they can be I didn't want them to live through it alone, but that being said there is only so much I can do and I'm not responsible for their health like that. I wasn't going to pretend that the relationship was terminated just because they went MIA they where my closest friend before partner and they deserved for me to at least be straight up with them and tell them face to face before moving on for old times sake. One day they finally agree to meet up after they went to donate blood but turns out that they decided that they where going to purposely crashed their car when I broke up with them after they got on their knees and begged which was hard and made me cry. I called them right after and they where pressing on the gas making that vrrrmmm sound running a bunch of red lights they where saying " I'm running all the reds! " I told them not to but every time I tried talking they would just vrrrmmmm, trying the emotional manipulation once again so I hanged up called their dad told them what happed and what they where saying on the phone about the red lights and told them "I'm so sorry this is happening but I just can't" and they responded " I know, it is not your fault, thank you for telling us and I'm sorry it had to end this way" they knew it was them because they had been in the hospital before for hurting themselves before so they knew their behavior patterns and the fact that they depend on others way too much to give them emotional stability when they are far beyond that ( I later learned they blamed it on the blood donation and that they got " dizzy" and lost control so that they could claim it for insurance because they had totaled their car and it worked). later after the call they send a picture saying " not that you care but I'm in the hospital" with their hospital wrist band showing which i responded with " if you have enough petty energy to send me that picture you are totally fine " i was at my wits end with the attempts of emotional manipulation and trying to make me feel bad for something i was not responsible for then wrote some lyrics and said" i wrote this and i wasn't going to post it but i think you deserve this" and posted it on facebook calling me b*tch, enclosing intimate information about our sex life believing it was cool because they had altered some lyrics from a song that already exists but just made " fit" the situation and i got furious made them feel bad for the entire thing forced an apology out of them and made them take that sh** down and they did indeed do all of that. I have now been with my partner new and improved for 5 years and this old ex tried contacting me again saying he was sorry again as if it made a difference tried talking sh** about my new boyfriend saying he didn't like them when they where friends back in high school just cuz they where jealous i guess idk and told be they had written a song about me which i knew about where he said my name (it was terrible) then when i mentioned how i got therapy and that it helps they got real silent again and i haven't heard from them since i also blocked them after that so yeah but they stopped first as soon as they heard therapy i always knew you cant help someone that doesn't want help but Jesus they are at a freaking extreme level. all I can say is that when happier than ever by billie eillsh came out i felt like she had written a song about me and my ex. btw we where both 17 when it stared 18 when it ended. not the worst crazy ex i know but definetly messy as fu*k

my best friend's mom (who is also kinda my friend at this point too lol) has had some pretty shit partners before, many of whom where abusive in some way, but this current one she's dealing with is wild - he gets drunk all the time, damaged so much of their stuff, was super physically & emotionally abusive to her, etc. and he just cannot let her go. they were married for a short time and my mom's friend is trying to get all the divorce stuff sorted out, but it's kinda hard because she had to get a PFA against him and he keeps violating it & going back to jail. he's literally so crazy that even his daughter has tried to contact my friend's mom (she's not even a teenager, I think the girl is like 12). last I heard, he's in jail for his third violation of the PFA but if he can get 500 bucks then he's a free man until the trial. my best friend has an insane ex boyfriend who had massive anger issues. he would scream at her and throw things & shit, all while my best friend was recovering from ankle surgery. he would go over to her house and shit all the time & her dad (who is a neglectful & shitty asshole, not a real parent in any way shape or form) really liked him of course cause they were practically the same person, so her dad would just let him in whenever. the friend that was staying with her while she was recovering (who was the only one who actually took care of her btw) eventually had to put their foot down and help my best friend to get rid of him. he left a sweatshirt at her house and her dad told her to return it to him - can't remember if she burned it or just threw it out lol I thankfully have not had any super serious issues with any exes (I attribute part of that to only having a few cause I'm greyromantic so I don't form romantic attraction to people often). I had one ex who got into drugs after we broke up, but I actually reconnected with them recently and they seem to be doing a lot better now. my ex boyfriend was an ass - he wasn't abusive, but he would always let his mom basically run his life and told me that I was like too ambitious & that I wouldn't be able to do the stuff I wanted to. I didn't realize how manipulative he was til after we broke up, and after we broke up he tried to message me a few months later and I basically told him to f*ck off cause I didn't wanna talk to him ever again lol

I’ve never been in a relationship, but I did have this one friend who would punch me everyday in the bathrooms and shove me into door frames because I gave her a hug. She would ignore me and embarrass me in front of everyone. She would invite me over to her house then call me extremely rude names and refuse to want to do anything with me. But I had been in that relationship for 5 years and I obeyed her like a dog. I had always cared for her and got in trouble for everything she did. I came home smiling with a bloody lip, a black eye, and a bruised rib once because of her. Eventually, my mom had to split us up because I refused to not be her friend, but I listened to my mom because I love my mom. It was one of the best things she ever did for me.

I dated a guy, briefly, who I found out quickly had explosive anger issues and just overall issues managing his emotions. When I broke up with him, he refused to accept it. He was weird, but also endearing at times. When I told him I wasn't really into seeing anymore, because the last time we hung out he was super super weird, he called my house (landlines) repeatedly for days and days. My dad finally answered and the ex said that he was going to come over to my house and k*ll us all and was laughing like a lunatic. My dad told him to come on, but he left me alone after that. I was glad I still lived at home because I believe he would've tried some stuff if I had lived alone.
