Rita Daniela De Guzman Iringan that's her full name.. She went 3 screen names for some reasons. That girl was awesome in singing.. For me she has the best vocal in today's Philippines generations... She's not that belter, but she's smart with high notes. She has that gospel vibes, with so many styles and techniques to offer. Her voice is very soulful....

Even when young, Julie is charming, so cute and bubbly 😍❤ Rita and Julie actually was together in a competition and later became part of a group, pop star kids when they were a 10-11 years old. Rita actually won the competition. Rita I think tried acting early after she won, her time was divided and with her studies to add but since Julie focused and continue her passion in singing, her career continued to blossom since other than a great singer, she's a musician and a talented artist. Then Julie's first album got very successful and from then, her success continued. Addition is that she has that charm and always giving something new for the audience. Great reaction btw 🙌

There's a video here on KZfaq of a 9 year old Katrina singing Run to You on Little Big Star Kids, a national tv singing competition where Sarah G is the host. Raph Salazar was the champion, and I think there's also Little Big Star Teens or something like that where Charice/Jake is also part of it and Sam Concepcion is the winner. There's also Little Big Star - Cebu, Mori is part of it and Sheryn Regis was the host. It's just funny how destiny works.

I’m pretty sure the footage of Lea here is from a concert in 1980 when she was 9. Lea had already been performing for 2 years and had recently played her first lead role (in the musical ANNIE). Lea’s audition for MISS SAIGON was from 1988 when she was 17 years old - after she had already been working in show business for 10 years doing theater, concerts, albums, tv and film.

That’s probably the reason why rita (spl?) is not that well-known as a singer. Here in the PH, you have to be a complete package to truly succeed as a signer/performer. You know, having the looks and family background and all :)

Reaction like "She's stiff" while watching Lea was so unnecessary because obviously you don't know her musical background. I grew up watching Lea Salonga, I'm almost the same age as her, watched her in her TV show, Love, Lea on PTV 4, literally I grew up following her, and knowing how one performs if you went through musical training in Repertory Philippines, these musical theater artists just stand straight up when singing, like with blunt eyes staring at the audience. She was not stiff there though.

Rita is both good in acting and singing . but she stops for a while . i think so also. Rita is better than Julie ann. But julie ann is slimmer than her. Thats the lack only.
