Accuracy depends on how you hit the ball

Still not sure of the look of the new Nike flight ball, but I'll take 30% extra accuracy any day if it were true!

Well, "truer flight" doesn't mean "more accuracy", it means the ball won't go off its intented trajectory while moving in the air due to air resistance. It has nothing to do with how accurate you are, but with how the ball is built. The Adidas Jabulani used to steer off course so often, because its aerodynamics were shit, not because footballers couldn't place their shots properly. By the way, if you want to solve this problem, just make a 32 panel ball, like, you know, before all this bullshit with "new technologies". If there has to be one constant in the game, it should be the ball. You would think it was obvious enough.

I think the nike flight ball isn't necessarily going to make shots more accurate. Instead they claim 30% truer flight so it will remain more stable in the air (opposite of the jabulani 2010 world cup ball)

Actually, there's a misunderstanding on the Nike's claim: they promise 30% more truer flight of the ball when shooting, that is, the trajectory of the ball will be more consistent - what for marketing reasons they can call "accuracy" (and this doesn't necessarily mean hitting the target 30% more)

What products should I put to the test next time?

The Nike flight ball isn't about being more accurate, it's about the flight of the ball being more consistent, ie. The opposite of a jabulani which constantly knuckled. It's not gonna make your shots more accurate that's down to personal skill but it'll ensure if you have the accuracy that it'll be less likely to be taken by the air and moved out of the players control.

I tried on the predators and did some dribbling and juggling and for me it was more controlled than a normal cleat. What I’m trying to say is that the ball control with those cleats are good.

For it to be more true he would need to use a machine like a soccer version of one of the batting practices machines for baseball

The glove glue test was done with 2 different types of gloves, some gloves are more gripey then others so it might not be so accurate. If he did the test with to of the same gloves then yes.

As much as I love your videos Kieran I have to say the first test was very poor scientifically. You made an analysis on the spread of the balls which only tests the shooters accuracy/consistency and will pretty much tell you nothing about the footballs. Not to mention how you didn't rule out the anomalies caused by human error. This test would be useful if the footballs were programmed to hit top bins every time but they simply aren't.

Glove glu does not work for me, I first tried it over a year ago and it was grippier at first, however, after I made about 5 saves, the extra grip that it gave had completely gone.

I believe that it does have 30% truer flight but the largest part of hitting the mark is your own accuracy so even if there is truer flight it does not mean you will be more accurate, it just means that things like wind and other variables will have less effect

on nike fligh ball, there's a lot of grip point... that's mean the wind will make a lot differents... remember the pattern isn't on the sam direction... maybe one direction is facing the right direction but what about behind it... i think the nike ball will good for nice and strong straight shoot (as long as the ball isn't rolling much) but if it curve/dipping shoot or whatever shoot that the ball rolling around, than the ball will get wilder than the ball that have less grip point...
