The placements of the drops aren’t just based on preference or votes it’s a small group who consider things like complexity, sound clarity or impact from the battles. It also can be based on just how good the drops sounds. Some of the sounds produced are way harder than you might imagine, some combos including over 15 sounds per second, or the fact the zipper sound that dilip did in the 2nd place is from both sides of his lips and he manages to pitch it perfectly. I would recommend watching some gbb24 solo wildcards such as osis, abo ice or remix.

Napom has been in the battle scene for a long time and has a lot of accomplishments. I'd highly recommend the GBB 2016 finals, which is Napom vs Kenny Urban (its a sick battle)

I just can’t stand most of it. I’m old school, so my preference is always going to be the hip hop beat boxers. These electro trap step/DnB stylists just don’t have that rhythmic appeal and 90% of it is so messy and out of time. Needs simplifying so much. Just my opinion though
