Realistically I knew the odds of reaching those lost miner's were worse than lottery odds but hope was there...Definitely left with a serine sense of loss and sadness knowing 30 souls perished down there simply by trying to make a living. It really hits the gutt hard.

One thing is for certain, I am NEVER disappointed when I watch your videos, Heavy D! Being able to first, rebuild a Hotel that was over a Hundred years standing, but to also open up THREE mines just as old as the hotel or older! Plus the song at the end of the video, You just have to know that that right there was the first time that mine had heard the likes of talented singing in well over a century and a half! That mine was operating what, the same time the Nation was going through it's civil war? That is a bloody long time my friend! Long time, and thank you for sharing it with us!

I’m having religious experience right now!!! I’m 50 years old and always wanted to do stuff on this scale since I was a kid! This is amazing…not just this video or series but this whole channel!!! I quit watching TV 5 or 6 years ago and 90% of my entertainment is KZfaq creators content and I feel like I found the Holy Grail of channels this week!!! I feel like your channel is what I’ve been searching for for the last 5 or 6 years! Y’all are definitely my people and I know that from the feeling I get watching, I don’t feel like I’m just watching but I’m participating in the adventure! Y’all have this aura around you which means that I can tell your motivation isn’t money wealth and fame…it’s driven by your commitment to God Family and doing the right thing for your fellow man!!! This is one of those extremely rare times when you can see what God’s plan is for someone and you get to watch his plan unfold right before your eyes. It’s very obvious why God has you guys living here at this exact time and place. Thank you for listening to the Lord and spreading his word and way of life! We’ve all said “if I had the money I’d help by doing this or that…it’s so awesome to watch someone actually do it, and for all the right reasons! Man I hope our paths cross someday, just so I can brag about meeting real Angels here on Earth! Much Love ❤️ and Godspeed gentleman

I honestly wouldn't be surprised (probably won't because of the big money) but I wouldn't be surprised if once their contract is up they go the route the way that Richard Rawlings & GMG is doing on their YT channel since Fast 'n Loud has officially ended and Richards contract was up for discovery and he didn't renew so he could be more 'raw' & uncensored because now they're cussing and stuff uncensored on their YT page.

My grandfather was a lead mine Captain in Missouri for many years and retired in 1957 (I think he started in the mines in 1914 or so). The mines had a vertical shaft that they dropped the ore down to 4 levels below, where it was loaded in a ore hoist that took it to the surface where it was moved and loaded. They had a crew that went around on a full time basis to pry fall rock off the ceiling. The fall rock was always breaking loose and falling, so please be careful for the loose rock, because it never ends. Also, in those mines in the 1980’s they lost some divers who went down a stope and another, and another, and then couldn’t find their way back. They learned to take a roll of string to follow back. Also, my Grandfather went underground on a Sunday afternoon, tried to take a short cut across the old mines, got lost, and the batteries went out on his light. He found his way out by sliding his boot along the rail in pitch black to the new mines and entrance. He was gone 3 days and no one missed him (the mines thought he was at home and his wife thought he was working and had problems). So anyway, my point is that the grim reaper is riding on your shoulder every minute you are underground, so please be careful. I enjoy your videos and equipment operation. Best Wishes from West Virginia, and stay safe.

When you were saying about the passage of time underground, I worked in a mine for a while . The clean air was pumped from the surface and when it cooled down in the evening the cold air made all the wooden beams creak! And in the morning when the warm air came in it happened again. Sometimes after a dry spell I could smell the fresh rain. But always after a shift underground the fresh air outside smelt strange.

Awesome content! These mines are exciting and I totally get that feeling to know what is in there once a mine is spotted. Abandoned places in general are interesting. In my opinion. You should secure the entry and the tunnels to preserve as much of those mines as possible. Those places will from now on only decay more until everything is gone. It might sound stupid to some people. But someone dug themselves by hand all the way down there. That is amazing.

Lay down sandy, small rock stuff to the bottom contour, emplace the culvert, cover the top with 3 feet of the same, will cushion any rock fall & your done! Oh wait, put a locked gate to keep the big rats out. You weld a little cage around the lock, like they do on explosive containers that are used in the bush, so no one can fuck with the lock. ONLY a KEY gets you in!

Straight up I respect the fact that you guys are willing to go and see what's going on inside of a mine but if somebody that likes to be prepared for possible survivor situations it's always smart to tie a rope to a harness to yourselves that leads out the entrance just in case of a cave in because even just that wrote can let you communicate with the people outside they'll know you're alive as long as you're pulling on it

Beautiful and pure historical Americana. Thinking of the men who dug these mines without any of the modern equipment available now. What hardships and difficulties did they face as they dug? How long did they keep digging? What made them decide it wasn't worth it anymore? All that backbreaking work abandoned to become a time capsule waiting for new adventurers to discover. This time it was Sparks and crew. I'm sure no one has to say the danger must have been a sustained rush while you were in the tunnels. It's possible a collapse could have happened and no excavator in the world could have dug you out.. 😲😲😲. Absolutely fantastic video.

A couple of comments about the miners being in the minds all day. As it turns out, many of the mines are interconnected. A miner would often go down into the mind shaft in his own town and ride a bicycle under ground to the mine in the next town. Do his days work and ride his bike home again. So even though he rode to the next town, he never came to the surface in that town. This was told to us by a miner who gave us a tour of a mine on the way to Cripple Creek. Second thing is, the shiny material you see may be mica. This is often found where there is also Gold.
