Just had an interview with wegmans , got rejected but here’s my toughest questions : Short term goals , long term goals , how long do u plan on staying in wegmans. You should say u plan on climbing up the wegmans ladder and staying as long as u can.

after two years of getting rejected, finally got hired on the spot thanks to this video ❤️ here’s what i’ve learned from two years of wegmans interviews: - you need to be flexible/open availability. once they hear you have another job, a student, or can only work certain hours. they don’t wanna hire you. - be open to other positions. i applied for stocker but ended up getting hired for sub shop because they asked what other positions i would be interested in. if i was dead set on stock, i wouldn’t have been hired at all. - try different locations. i kept getting rejected from one location, and once i just interviewed for this other location, i was hired. if i wanted to, i could eventually be transferred to the first location. - PREPARE FOR THE INTERVIEW. you will not be able to wing it. because i practiced my answers i was able to have a response to all questions they asked promptly and thoroughly. Your first interview which is usually a phone interview is just going over your availability, ALL your work history, your reasons for leaving, what you enjoyed and disliked abt the job. telling them a little about yourself, etc. things like that. Your second interview is in person and will be with the recruiter AND the manager of whatever department you’re interviewing for . The second interview is all scenario questions: how would you handle an angry customer, what would you do to make sure a customer has a good experience, what would you do if one of your coworkers work was effecting the rest of the crew, what does food safety mean to you, why is it important, what are some sanitation practices that you do, etc. PREPARE FOR THESE. YOU CANNOT WING IT!!! HAVE GOOD ANSWERS! Hope this helped someone ❤️ good luck guys and thank you for this video!

All facts in this video. I just had an interview the other day and did not get hired. I did a few things that went against this video: told them I needed the job due to divorce, didn't have good questions to ask them, and said that I was 'close & had good availability' when they asked why I would be a good employee. I also had no desire to work in other positions and made that clear. Wish I would have seen this prior to the interview, but I suppose I was sort of just there for a paycheck:)

I just got hired on Saturday and honestly, this video helped me. I knew I had the job because the manager took me on a tour I did the in-person interview then they asked me to sit on the bench outside the office and about 10 minutes later I got hired. Honestly just make sure you keep focused on the customer service part and make yourself available on Weekends and holidays and just keep yourself transparent.

I applied and within a week aced both interviews and hired. I start orientation next week.

Be ready to describe yourself, such as outgoing, positive, high energy, honest, team player, hard worker, etc

My brother in law works for them for 40 years my sister is 10 years my husband works before with them too and now i am a trainee in wegmans, very great comoany and people. Interview is challenging but i aced it and they are impressed.. And i applied to them without my sister and brither inlaws help. They just heard it from co- manager if they new me..

This is a great video I really wish that I watch this before my in-person interview but luckily they just called me back today and I got the job and I'm so happy I was a little nervous at first because when they asked me if I have any questions at the end I didn't have any I only had one and I used the fancy line when do I start but overall I was very motivated and vicious and all out going and I feel just by having that attitude and character they wanted me in so that's definitely what helped me

I tried this got me this job when I asked them what were my next steps they told be they had a job offer for me for the Frozen dept so I took it I start my official first day Sunday

I love that, very helpful, i supposed to have a wegmans interview call yesterday, they never called at the time, i called back after 30min.....and the lady said that they already called an leave a voice mail, my phone never ringing or received any Voice mail....unfortunately i wasn't lucky.

i have a phone interview in like an hour or two. i’m literally tweaking so bad.😭😭 Edit: I passed my phone interview and I already have my in person interview appointment ready!^^ The recruiter mostly asked me about my schedule, when I could work, background information, etc. I got asked a lot of situation based questions. Here’s questions I got asked. When’s a time I went out of my way to help someone? When’s a time I had a disagreement with someone and how was it resolved? What would I do if I had a new coworker/how would I make them comfortable? What if another coworker had another idea about how to do something, what would you do? They also asked “How would you define excellent customer service?” and “Why should we hire you?” They also asked me my short term and long term goals. The recruiter asked me if I would prefer to work behind the scenes or do more customer service. You choose one and you have to explain why.

I work in the accounting 🧾 and pricing office at Wegmans and also work as a cashier in the weekend. Love ❤️ working at Wegmans!!

Just got off the phone and I asked the hiring manger “what’s the culture like?” And she has no clue what I’m asking… welp.. I’m embarrassed.. it’s okay though because my in person interview is on monday.

Just came here to say I had an in person interview today (Never had a phone interview, I think that depends on location) and based my answers off this video and was offered a second interview immediately. Had the second interview with the head chef and HR rep 10 minutes after my first interview, and was offered a job at the end of that interview and was told my interview was impressive. So my Sister-in-law claims that Wegmans has a position specifically for delivering meals2go, is there such a position or is she mistaken? I looked and found nothing relevant, perhaps they didn't post it yet. Then again the Wegmans interview process sounds intimidating and with my social anxiety i am sure to be rejected.
