Playing on 120 fps compared to 60 fps feels so smooth and makes me enjoy the game more. Also the reshade makes it easier for to play DBD because I don't struggle in the dark anymore :D Thank you so much for the video and the effort you put in helping us!

Thanks man! Helped so much. I just heard something about unlocking FPS in DBD and, I kid u not, when I checked my files, it was locked at 30 fps. I just thought DBD was demanding and thats why it wasn't smooth for me, and I have rx6800 + r9 5950x. Thanks again!

I've got a lot of crashes by using reshade, coz i alt tab very much, so i decided to fully uninstall it, coz fulscreen-windowed has fps drops + ms loss, that so sadge tho :( Good vid keep up mate!

for the love of god, if you have a gpu that can run dx12 pretty well, or an intel arc gpu, make sure your launch settings has -dx12 for dbd

Other tutorials I saw did not include the Engine.ini steps and I was capped at 60 FPS. Thank you Im at 120FPS

Yo one question, ive just put all the FPS settings into the ones u said and put my graphic settings to the lowest in the ingame graphic settings, its still on 60, what could be a reason for this? I dont think my pc specs are the reason for this man, greets from germany dude!

The thing is i had it on 30 before without even knowing it, so 60 is better than before but i do want to have it on atleast 90-100, 120 would be optimal

After following this guide, everything "works" but every once in a while I crash mid game, not every game, every 3 or 4, I don't get a UE error or anything, the game just poofs and silently closes... any idea as to what's happening? Edit: I changed nothing, and now can just not play survivor, every time I load in my game does the above, and I'm matchmake locked so I can't test survivor but killer just seems to stutter a lot without crashing... I can't even load into the "survive with bots" tutorial?

@@darrenluvsu4049 According to the Steam forums it has to do with Reshade 5.9.0's instability, all people that have been having this problem have reverted to 5.8.0 and have experienced no issues? Gonna try this and if it's true I shall return and edit the comment Edit: don't wanna get my hopes up but I did just make it through a killer game with no menu lag or anything, so this very well could've been the problem?

Btw, if it doesn't work for y'all, I did have to put BOTH - FPSLIMIT and Frameratelimit at 120. Also I can't tab out of the game anymore (laptop 3 fingers slide) I just press my windows key now.. don't know what caused this! :p

Good tips in general. I would just change the end script about the peer verification. I'm no expert, and please correct me if I am wrong, but seems to me that it makes the connection vulnerable. [/Script/Engine.NetworkSettings] n.verifyPeer=False Hmmm... I also would not really check the read only box on the first file, since most people won't even remember where to find this file and might want to change the settings in game. Taking those 2 points aside it is a great video, thanks for the content. :D

Hiya mate, I did all this for the steam version, after i'd finished with the engine folder and i put it on read only, the steam fps counter at my top right still said "60fps", is this just a bug with the counter you think?

Thank you so much! But i can't wrap my head around why pressing F8 to clear the black bars doesn't work anymore... It was working perfectly a few days ago. Now i updated the game to the new 6.7.0 patch and i cant get rid of those black bars... I followed every step in your tutorial too. Hopefully someone can help me fix this issue so i can enjoy the game!

@Alexile u know the problem actually is that u did everything like he did in his videos so did u used the new Pak Patcher or the old one, cuz v3 got patched and no longer works but with v4 i was able to use streched and didn't even have to change my monitor res. And btw don't change it in the windows no editor but the client one.
