These Valuable Treasures Were Almost Thrown Away

These treasures were thankfully saved from being trashed. Cheryl Conroy Warren took a painting that her dad found in the dumpster to Antiques Roadshow and found out it could be worth up to $15,000. Max Brown also found something valuable while dumpster diving in Nevada: books that came from the personal library of Thomas Jefferson. Plus, one waste management facility in New York is really good at finding lost jewelry. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Honestly, I feel like the guy who sold a series of books written by *Thomas Jefferson* and only got $8,000 got scammed. Yeah they were in poor condition, but they were over _300-YEARS-OLD._ You can't expect books that old to be in pristine condition. Edit: the books weren't written by Thomas Jefferson, but that still wouldn't negate the price

I think that when a jeweler's sells a very expensive ring, they should give the buyer two of those ring holders, one for the kitchen sink and one for the bathroom sink. Good P.R.

I like diamonds just like the next girl, but...250k on bling seems excessive to me. I sincerely would rather have a nice yet modest set and spend the rest on good works.
